Beautiful Bollywood diva and the legendary couple, Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s elder daughter, Esha Deol became missus to her childhood buddy, Bharat Takhtani on June 29, 2012. After almost five years of their life as a couple, Esha and Bharat entered the parents’ club after welcoming Radhya Takhtani on October 20, 2017. Revealing about they clicked and started dating each other, Bharat had reminisced, "There was a certain freshness and cuteness about her. We began seeing each other.” And Esha went on to explain, “Once when he wanted to hold my hand, I snapped and reacted saying, ‘How dare you hold my hand?” And Bharat had added, “Though I didn’t keep in touch with her, I remained friends with Ahaana (Esha’s younger sister). So, somewhere the connection remained. I always nurtured a soft corner for Esha. After all, she was my first love.”
It is a proud feeling when kids make their parents honoured and this is what has happened with the second-time mommy-to-be, Esha Deol. For the ones who don’t know, Esha Deol is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Not just this, she is also trained in the Odissi dancing style, Orissi, under Mumbai guru Rabindra Atibuddhi ji. Until now, the actress has been setting the stage on fire with her mom, Hema ji and sister, Ahana. Now, the little angel, Radhya Takhtani has also started performing on stage. Recently, for her school, Radhya performed for the first time on-stage with mommy, Esha on the song, Zingat. Esha took to her official Instagram handle and shared lovely snaps with Radhya, even on-stage. In a throwback interview, Esha had talked about her journey for the first time and had said, “Radhya, my little one, makes me feel special every moment of my life and I am thankful to her. It is a feeling that cannot be described in words.” In another interview with Mumbai Mirror, Esha had talked about her second pregnancy, and had shared, “Both of us definitely wanted another baby as we grew up with siblings and wanted the same fun company for Radhya. Revealing if she is going on a babymoon anytime soon, Esha had replied, "I don't think I can call it a babymoon the second time around as I can't go anywhere without my baby. I will take Radhya with me everywhere I go, so let's just call it a family vacation for Bharat, Radhya and me whenever we plan to travel."
In a recent interaction with SpotboyE, Esha talked in length about her husband, Bharat and her personal life. She had shared, "There was a time when Bharat came back into my life after a long gap. It was a long nice gap where movies happened and then he came back at the right time. So, settling down, being someone's daughter-in-law, someone's wife and all of that, so, I am the kind of person who wants to give her 100 per cent into a relationship to make it work. But Bharat and my-in-laws have always been supportive of my work."
Sharing once about her decision to get married to an outsider, Esha had retorted, "I realised that he’s someone who’ll be mine and remain loyal. I’ve always been a protected child but now I feel even more protected. I don’t feel like a lost soul anymore. There’s more purpose to life, something to look forward to. There’s a companion to hold my hand, haath pakdne wala koi hai. Bharat’s outgoing yet traditional. In a way, he’s like Papa; he knows how to keep his family together. If he can love and care for them, he won’t let me down either. Also, he’s comfortable with my celebrity status. He doesn’t view me as Esha Deol, he knows me as Esha, his friend." She had also said, "If you find someone with whom you’d be able to spend the rest of your life, someone whose face you wish to see before going to sleep and on waking up, then it’s beautiful. I can’t understand the arranged marriage concept; I had to fall in love to get married."
