Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s eldest daughter, Esha Deol has now joined the parents squad of 2017 with the arrival of her daughter on October 20, 2017. As this year is proving lucky for many celebs, it has proved luckier for Esha and Bharat.
Esha and Bharat are on cloud nine with the arrival of their little munchkin and yesterday (October 23, 2017) Esha got discharged from the hospital and took the little one home. The trio got snapped outside the hospital by paparazzi and the amount of happiness on the couple’s face was something that cannot be defined.
Bharat believed that their daughter looks like him. Here’s what he said:
“It’s hard to express how happy I feel today! I think the baby looks like me and when she smiles, the world smiles at you. Esha and her bonding is divine”
Esha had a normal delivery and all her family members including Ahana-Vaibhav, maternal and paternal grandparents were present at the hospital during the delivery. The proud father Bharat also expressed his joy and even revealed the baby's name. Here's what he said:
“We are very happy to announce that our daughter will be named as Radhya Takhtani. The name has been jointly decided by Esha and me.”
Hema Malini took her official Instagram handle to announce this big news with this picture:
And the sweetest caption:
"Friday October 20 was a special and wonderful day! Esha was blessed wth a beautiful baby girl and my cup of happiness is full. Ab ghar par Lakshmiji aa gayi (Lakshmi has arrived at home)."
The excited grandmother, Hema shared the feeling of becoming a grandmom again. This is what she said:
“It’s such a beautiful feeling to become a grandmom again! I am very excited right now. Even Dharmendra ji is very happy. Esha is doing well, and the newborn baby girl, whom Esha and her husband Bharat Takhtani have decided to name Radhya, is so sweet and lovely-looking, like a little doll!”
The name ‘Radhya’ comes from Goddess Radha. Hema said:
“My Mathura people are very happy. Krishna ki nagri hai, toh Radha Rani is important there.”
Also, about the absence of them of not being there at the time of Esha’s discharge, she said:
“We didn’t go to the hospital because Bharat’s family went and brought her home. We were at home, making the preparations to welcome the baby. The first thing we did was aarti according to the Hindu tradition. Outside, my staff was celebrating with phuljhadis. But we didn’t burst more crackers, as we did not want to disturb the child with the noise and also because it would have led to so much pollution.”
Hema laughs how everyone in the family is excited to have a new toy to play with. She said:
“I was equally excited when Darien (son of Ahana Deol, Hema’s younger daughter) was born. But he has grown up so fast, and now goes to playschool. But I am scared to hold these babies, though I did it in my time. In the next few years, even Radhya will grow up and start going to school... how time flies! But I am happy seeing the way Esha and Bharat are handling things. They are so excited, almost as if they have a little new toy to play with!”
Esha’s younger sister is more experienced as she embraced motherhood two years back and is now helping Esha with her new role in life. Hema shared:
“Ahana is helping Esha, since she’s more experienced. Nowadays, there are so many things to help both the parents and the child, which we didn’t have in our times.”
Isn’t this such a sweet and divine name the couple has given to their princess? Here’s wishing Radhya Takhtani a life full of love, success and happiness. And all you guys, stay tuned for more update on celeb babies and your favourite TV and tinsel town celebs.
