The duo tied the knot this Saturday, on July 25, 2026, in an intimate ceremony in Sun Valley, Idaho. Emma Roberts wore a gown from Monique Lhuillier for her wedding
Emma Roberts and Cody John exchanged their vows in front of their close friends and family in a private residence in Idaho. For the occasion, Emma chose to wear a custom Monique Lhuillier wedding gown. In footage from her final fitting, Monique could be seen telling the actress about the different ways in which she could carry the gown's shawl. She said:
“You can remove this if you want to go strapless. This becomes a convertible version. There are five looks in the dress.”
Hearing this, Emma could not help but gush that it was “so cool” her gown could be transformed on the big day. According to one of her friends who accompanied her to the fitting, it would make Cody cry at the altar. Meanwhile, Emma predicted her now-husband’s reaction to her wedding dress and said:
“He's gonna love it, but he loves anything that I love. He wouldn't care if I wore jeans, but he's definitely going to die for this.”
It is worth mentioning that Emma had worked with Monique Lhuillier on the design to come up with the perfect bridal ensemble. She confessed that she did not know from the beginning what kind of dress she wanted, unlike most brides. However, she explained that she wanted to channel her love for things like antique books and treasure hunting into her final gown. In her words:
“I didn't really know what I wanted. I just knew that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired. I’m obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting, and I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress.”
Reportedly, Emma had even hand-picked the fabric color so it would come across like a tea-stained effect. Her idea behind this was that she “kind of wanted to look like a ghost - a little antique ghost doll.” Monique did her best to bring Emma’s vision to life. She crafted the gown in silk chiffon for an “ethereal, romantic, and vintage-inspired” aesthetic.

For the unversed, Emma Roberts and Cody John had been in a relationship for four years before they tied the knot. It was Emma who first revealed in July 2024 that she was engaged to the love of her life by taking to social media. She posted a picture with the biggest grin on her face alongside Cody.
As she wrapped one arm around him, she showed off her beautiful diamond ring on her other hand. In the caption, Emma wrote, “Putting this here before my mom tells everyone.”
Coming to their Idaho wedding, they opted for a more private yet romantic ceremony. Many noticed that their wedding was also attended by Emma’s aunt and A-list actress Julia Roberts.
The wedding ceremony reportedly took place in 95-degree weather and lasted for around 45 minutes. While Emma wore her custom Monique Lhuillier gown for the big day, in the snaps from the event, Cody could be seen keeping things relatively simple but classy in a black tuxedo.
