After finding her way from Chicago to France, she is set to begin a journey in Rome, juggling love, ambition, and a new move at Agence Grateau.

Emily In Paris season 5 will feature the first-ever fallout of 'Emily' and 'Mindy'

Over the years, fans have keenly followed Emily Cooper’s friendship with Mindy Chen and how they have been each other’s pillars of strength. However, the latest season will feature the best friends’ fallout for the first time. Yes, you read that right. Season five of the popular show will have the first-ever friction between the two close friends.

Ashley Park, who plays the character of ‘Mindy Chen’ in the popular show, spoke about the change in the dynamics of her friendship with ‘Emily Cooper’, played by Lily Collins. Speaking about the same in a recent interview, she stated:

“We’ve never had them [have] miscommunications or have to hide things from each other, and I think that Mindy withholds certain things. I think in adult friendships, what I’ve realized is even your best friend who you want to tell everything to, sometimes you want to protect them and figure out the best ways for them to be able to receive information, and I think that we really see them have a true challenge with each other and really come back together.”

Ashley and Lily, who play the titular characters, are very close in real life. In the same interaction, Ashley revealed whether the change in their on-screen dynamics affected their off-screen friendship and stated:

“So I think that that was something we were both a little nervous about. You know, sometimes we’re in scenes and it feels like it’s me and Lily. you know, and it really felt like we were acting and had to really look into certain scenes and intentions of these characters and separate it from who we are because it’s the first time it’s really departed from how me and Lily interact.”

Lily Collins is set to return as 'Emily Cooper' in Season 5 alongside key cast members like Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays 'Sylvie', Ashley Park, who portrays 'Mindy,' Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and Eugenio Franceschini. Meanwhile, Lucas Bravo appears in the Season 5 trailer as 'Gabriel,' but the possibility of his long-term future on the show is not certain. On the other hand, Camille Razat left the series after Season 4, concluding her character arc. New faces of this season include Minnie Driver and Bryan Greenberg.
