During a livestream on the last day of 2025, Somali-American TikToker, Fardowsa Muhumed discussed Elon Musk's recent public criticisms of alleged large-scale fraud involving Somali-run daycare businesses in Minnesota. After the clip of the Somali-American TikToker mentioning Elon Musk's death went viral in January 2026, the 54-year-old billionaire responded to the clip on his platform, X, with the brief statement, "Then it is war." On January 3, 2026, Fardowsa Muhumed spoke out, claiming her words were "villainized" and "taken out of context." She insisted she never intended to threaten Musk and that her comments were actually aimed at promoting body positivity, in response to his appearance in swimwear. She expressed fear for her safety due to the subsequent online harassment and threats she received.
