Ella Langley(full name, Elizabeth Camille Langley) opened for fellow country star Riley Green in 2024 and 2025 and also delivered two duet hits, including You Look Like You Love Me (2024) and Don't Mind If I Do (2025). Riley likely referred to Ella's popularity surge due to their collaborations while talking about her success in the latest episode of The Voice Season 30.
Riley brought up the topic while trying to persuade a talented participant to join his team, citing Ella's rising career as an example. The 37-year-old singer said that The Voice participants' aspirations and journeys remind him of Ella Langley, whom he took on tour, and since then, there has been no turning back for her. Likely taking credit for her success, Riley Green stated:
"There was a girl that reminded me a lot of y'all. I took her on tour with me. Her name's Ella Langley. She's doing pretty well."
Shortly after the incident, Ella Langley went live on Instagram, where fans, as expected, asked her about it. One viewer commented, "When Riley took credit for your success on The Voice, did that rub you the wrong way?!" The 27-year-old ACM Awards winner seemingly responded to the comment, sharing her dislike for Riley Green's remark.
Without taking a name, Ella hit back at a man's attempt to discredit her hardwork and called it "typical." She added that she didn't like it and said:
"Yeah, when that man took credit? No, didn't love that, but typical. Typical. Pretty typical."
