After being candid about his personal life for years, Dwayne Johnson recently shared a previously unknown health detail that has now shocked his fans. The WWE star revealed that he faced a frightening health scare sometime ago, which made him fear that he might have cancer. In turn, he decided to keep the information to himself. In fact, he did not even share anything about it with his wife, Lauren Hashian, while he waited for medical results. Understandably, Dwayne admitted it was one of the most stressful moments of his life.
Dwayne Johnson recently sat down for an interview with Esquire. During the chat, he recalled that he found a painful lump on one of his testicles while taking a shower. In turn, the unusual symptom concerned him. Therefore, the actor visited a doctor after three days. Although the doctors initially suspected it could be epididymitis, an inflammation of a tube situated behind his testicle. But, they also warned him that he cannot rule out the possibility of cancer without further testing. Needless to say, the possibility of cancer left Dwayne deeply worried.

However, due to his packed schedule with multiple promotional activities for his film, Jumanji, the actor was unable to get an immediate ultrasound. So, he had to spend the next 24 hours waiting for clarity. Meanwhile, Dwayne continued with his public appearances and professional commitments. He admitted that the uncertainty of the situation was extremely challenging. But, at the same time, he had to make speeches, interact with fans and maintain a cheerful public image while he dealt with fear and anxiety.

But the most surprising part of the incident was that Dwayne kept it secret from his wife, Lauren Hashian. The WWE star explained that he chose not to tell her about the situation because he did not want to give her any unnecessary worries before he was sure about the final diagnosis. It was difficult for the actor to bear all the emotional burden alone during those uncertain hours. However, the final medical tests confirmed that it was epididymitis and not cancer. In his words:
"I had to live with that for those twenty-four hours, not knowing—and I had to be on all day, joking around, making speeches, I didn't want to worry her (Lauren) before I knew if it was anything to even worry about."

In the same interview, Dwayne Johnson shared an unexpected part of his fitness routine. He explained that he has recently started using ChatGPT to make his personalised workout plans. The actor explained that after finishing work on Jumanji in Hawaii, he felt a sense of disconnect from his usual training schedule.

Around the same time, he became curious about AI and downloaded ChatGPT, which he fed detailed information about his sleep schedule, diet, and work preferences. In turn, he was surprised to get a highly customised fitness plan within seconds. He admitted it was impressive, and the suggestions seemed to have come directly from the best trainers he has worked with in his career.

Apart from his successful Hollywood career, Dwayne Johnson is also a devoted family man. He got married to singer and songwriter, Lauren Hashian in 2018. But they had been together for more than a decade before getting married. The couple shares two daughters, Jasmine and Tiana. At the same time, the WWE star is the father to 24-year-old Simone Johnson, whom he shares with his former wife and film producer, Dany Garcia. Despite their separation in 2007, they continue to have a strong professional bond and work on several ventures together.
