Television’s favourite couple, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are expecting their first child and are counting the days to hold their little angel. In a recent chat, the actress opened up about her painful miscarriage and how she took days to come out of it.
Speaking to TV Times, Dipika Kakar talked about the first time she conceived and how the entire family was beaming with joy and even started planning the delivery. Sharing details about the same, she said:
“That was the first time I had conceived and the entire family, including me and Shoaib, were in a different zone altogether. We planned the delivery even though it was very early but it’s very natural, you start thinking about all of this. You start building expectations.”

In the same interview, she talked about the unfortunate incident of her miscarriage. Recalling how her husband, Shoaib stood like a rock for her. In her words:
“When the unfortunate thing happened, it hit me very badly. Shoaib stood like a rock for me because I don’t remember him being sad in front of me. No one in the family got upset in front of me. I reached home and started crying but my mother-in-law was extremely supportive. Nobody made me feel like something horrible had happened.”
The actress also revealed that the miscarriage shook her so much that it took her days to come out of it. Revealing how her treatment took a toll on her body, Dipika shared:
“I took my number of days to come out of it. I was undergoing a treatment and that took a very heavy toll on my body. You can’t get out of it alone, you need your family. You need your husband to be there with you.”

It was on January 22, 2023, when Dipika and Shoaib took to their Instagram handle and posted a cutesy photo to announce their pregnancy. In the picture, we could see Dipika and Shoaib twinning in white ensembles. The couple's back was visible as they donned matching caps, which read, 'Mom to be' and 'dad to be'.
Shoaib and Dipika had hidden their pregnancy for quite some time as they were very conscious about it. However, after announcing their pregnancy to the world, Shoaib revealed the reason behind hiding it. The couple shared that they consciously didn't reveal the news for three months as their doctors and family advised them. Shoaib also revealed that another reason for hiding their pregnancy was that Dipika had a miscarriage in February 2022 when she was 6-7 weeks pregnant.
Dipika Kakar is due in July 2023!
