Dillon Brooks, NBA Star's Ex-Girlfriend And Mother Of His Kids, Threatened To 'Cut His Fingers'

The famous NBA star, Dillon Brooks, who plays for the Phoenix Suns, was arrested in Scottsdale at wee hours on March 6, 2026. As per a report by TMZ, the police confirmed the arrest and revealed that they picked him up at around 2 a.m., and later, released him around 3:20 a.m. According to the reports, he was driving under the influence. While many are wondering about the 30-year-old NBA star landing in trouble, let's take a look at his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children.

Who is Dillon Brooks' ex-girlfriend, Heather Andrews?

It was last year when Dillon Brooks' personal life made headlines after he filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, Heather Andrews. The NBA star met Heather, who was four years older than him, in 2018 at a nightclub in Las Vegas. Soon, they started dating. However, things took an ugly turn after Heather got pregnant and she started threatening him. It is worth noting that the ex-couple has two daughters, but they never married.

Dillon Brooks claimed his ex-girlfriend, Heather Andrews, threatened to chop off his fingers 

Dillon Brooks and Heather parted ways, and in 2025, the NBA star filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend. As per a report by TMZ, Brooks claimed that Heather kept threatening and harassing him. He even revealed a message he got, wherein she threatened to cut off his fingers one by one so that he could never play basketball. The message could be read as:

"I’ll have [sic] someone cut each one of your f**king little fingers off one by one… So you can never play basketball LOL… And actually now I understand why people are racist."

Andrew went on to claim that his ex-girlfriend started harassing him when she was pregnant with their first child. He claimed that she would send emotionally abusive messages. Not only this, she would often share their private conversation in public spaces to show him in a negative light. 

However, things escalated to the next level with the arrival of their second baby. As per the 30-year-old NBA star, Heather started threatening him in different ways. She would openly say that she would hurt him personally, professionally or both ways. Not only this, he shared that Heather didn't spare his mother and threatened her by stating that she would send someone after his mother. 

Dillon added that Heather got unauthorised access to his Family Wizard coparenting app and sent a 'criminal threat' message to herself and acted as if it was sent by him. Not only this, but Heather is also accused of defacing Dillon's property. In 2022, she scribbled 'You Su*k B**ch' on an outdoor mantle. For the unaware, Dillon and Heather are also legally battling for custody of their two daughters. While Heather wants sole custody of their daughters and maintenance, Dillon is adamant about joint custody.

He had made a name for his game in college as he played for the Oregon Ducks. He even got conference player of the year honours in the Pac-12 in 2017. He was later selected in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft and began his professional career with the Memphis Grizzlies. In 2023, he gained another honour by getting the FIBA World Cup Best Defensive Player title after he helped the Canadian national team to bronze.
