Diljit Dosanjh Stop Concert Mid-Way For Surprise 'Gender-Reveal' Announcement 'Lakshmi Aa Rahi Hai'

Diljit Dosanjh, who has made the world bow down, courtesy of his chartbuster hits. He took India and his Punjabi songs to Coachella. After which, there was no stopping. Last year, Diljit Dosanjh made his debut at the Met Gala 2025 and showed off his style as the King of Indian fashion. Recently, Diljit gave another surprise mid-concert.

Diljit Dosanjh surprises his fans with gender-reveal mid-concert

Diljit is winning hearts again when a video of him went viral on the internet. In the clip, Dilji was seen announcing a special gender reveal. Wait, hold on, he is revealing his child's gender, but rather another couple, who is a big fan of him. In the West, there is a sweet ceremony of gender-reveal before the birth of the child. 

People host a grand gender-reveal ceremony. But this is the first time, when the gender of the child is revealed mid-concert by none other than Punjabi music masetro, Diljit Dosanjh. It happened during Diljit's packed Chicago show on the ongoing Aura Tour 2026. Diljit helped the fans know about their child's gender in front of thousands of people. With a big smile on his fan, Diljit opened the note and congratulated the couple. He stated that they are going to get blessed with Lakshmi, which means they were expecting a girl child. In Indian culture, daughters are symbolic of Lakshmi and symbolise prosperity, happiness and blessings. He said:

"Mubarak ho, tuhade ghar Lakshmi aa rahi hai."

As soon as Diljit announced the gender, the camera panned towards the couple, who were seen jumping together as they celebrated the moment, which became super special. Diljit further prayed for the couple that they have a blessed life together as their family continues to grow. 

Diljit Dosanjh's MET Gala 2025 look

Diljit Dosanjh made his much-awaited MET Gala debut in 2025. He wore a Nepalese-American designer, Prabal Gurung. He paid tribute to Patiala's Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. Diljit was dressed up in a majestic ivory-toned sherwani. He wore it with a matching cape featuring an intricate golden embroidery with Punjab's map and Gurumukhi text. He completed his look with a turban and radiated the Maharaja vibes.  

Diljit Dosanjh's personal life

According to reports, Diljit Dosanjh is married to Sandeep Kaur. They also have a son, and they reside in the US. However, let us inform you that Diljit Dosanjh never admitted to being married or whether he has a son or not. While some might mistake it as an attitude, Diljit has been doing so to keep his family safe. It was during the early years of his career that he received a lot of death threats due to his song, Lak 28 Kudi Da. According to murmurs, his family also became subjected to it, and there were a lot of protests against him and his family. After this, Diljit shifted them out of India and never really talked about them in any interviews.
