Diljit Dosanjh has made a name for himself not only because of his vocal prowess but also due to his acting stint in various Punjabi and Hindi films. He debuted in Bollywood with the 2016 crime thriller, Udta Punjab, alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Recently, he was seen in the female-led film, Crew and is gearing up for the release of the musical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila.
Ahead of the release of his film, Diljit is participating in several interviews. In one such interaction, the Punjabi singer recalled his first meeting with the Bollywood diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan. While conversing with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show, the singer said that he was star-struck when he first met Bebo and reminisced about the time when he used to watch her films. Recalling the time, Diljit said:
“Pehla day jab shoot tha Hindi film ka wo Kareena Kapoor ji ke saath tha, wo mere liye aisa tha ki ‘yaar, inha ni toh filma dekhiyasi, aaj inha naal kaam karn lagge’, toh wo tha ek accha moment tha.”

Further, in the interaction, the host asked what Diljit learnt from that experience. The singer shared an anecdote wherein Kareena Kapoor had asked him for a picture as her staff was a fan of the singer. He also mentioned how he understood that Kareena was trying to help him calm down before the shoot of their film. Talking about the experience, Diljit shared:
“Unhone badi pyaari baat boli, unke saath jo staff tha unhone aake mereko bola ki , mera staff aapka bada fan hai aapke saath photo karana chahta hai. Mere liye bohot badi baat thi, humne toh kabhi socha nahi tha ki milenge bhi unse kabhi life mein. Wo shayad isliye unhone bola ta ki mereko, abhi hamara scene shuru nahi hua tha, bade artist hote hai wo aapko thoda cool down bhi karte hai jab aap unke saath kaam kar rahe hote ho.”

Ranveer and Diljit further discussed about the American socialite and media personality, Kylie Jenner. The singer said that he thought Kylie was a Punjabi girl. He heaped praises on the Kylie Cosmetics founder and said that she has established herself. Moreover, he said that Kylie achieved everything that she ever wanted, and has a humungous net worth. In his words:
“Soni lagi dekhne mein, mainu lagi Punjaban hai…pata nahi kitthe di hai wo. Bro ek gal toh hai, chalo hate bhi ho sakti hai, bandi ne apni life toh banayi na, networth toh dekho ji. Apna jo usne chaha, wo usne wo le liya. Ek stand toh huyi wo.”

Diljit Dosanjh performed on the second day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash. He stole the show with his singing and antics. In a viral video, the singer was seen hyping up Kareena Kapoor as he compared her with international singers, Beyonce and Rihanna. The crowd at the bash could not control their excitement when Diljit said, “Hogi Rihanna, hogi Beyonce, sadi ta ae he hai, Kareena.”
