According to court records obtained by TMZ and Us Weekly, Kristy Scott (now Kristy Sarah) filed for divorce from Desmond Scott on December 30, 2025. The most shocking part of the document was the influencer mentioning infidelity as the cause of her separation. Although Kristy has not publicly addressed the split or its cause, fans believe a TikTok video she shared two weeks before on the December 17, 2025 was an early sign of it.

In the clip, Kristy tried to cook something and struggled to cook for herself while the fire alarms blared in the background. The video was captioned with on-screen text that read, "any time I attempt to cook." At that time, the post seemed fun and lighthearted. However, after their divorce, netizens can sense underlying tensions and her attempt to start over independently, since Desmond, a professional chef, had been the one to manage cooking at their household. According to People, a fan commented: 

"I remember when she said she'd never learn to cook because she married a chef… now she's learning. It's really over."

What did Desmond Scott state about his divorce from Kristy?

After Kristy and Desmond Scott's divorce filing became public in early January 2026, Desmond broke his silence on Instagram Stories on January 10, 2026. He apologised to Kristy and anyone affected by the public attention on them following their divorce, and emphasised that Kristy would remain his priority as the mother of his sons. Desmond acknowledged that he and Kristy were facing challenges throughout 2025, and that, towards the end of the year, he had decided to ask for a separation. In his words:

"During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, shared them with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce."

According to divorce documents obtained by US Weekly, Kristy and Desmond Scott share two sons, Vance, 7 and Westin, 6. Kristy stated in her filing that the pair has decided to enter a written agreement over custody, visitation, and child support. If they are unable to reach an agreement, she requested that the court decide the matter. Simultaneously, the filing revealed that the couple had signed a marital property agreement outlining the division of their community and separate assets. Subsequently, Kristy also requested that the court enforce the agreement and asked that Desmond cover her attorney's fees and court costs.
