Ever since Aamir Khan tied the knot with Gauri Spratt, the social media has been flooded with one question: Did Gauri convert to Islam? Well, as per reports, as of now there is no confirmation of Gauri converting to Islam before getting married to Aamir Khan. Neither the actor nor Gauri has shared any official statement regarding the same.
It is worth mentioning that Aamir Khan’s ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao never converted to Islam before getting married to the 3 Idiots star. Apart from questions around religion conversion, some users on X (formerly Twitter) have also been slamming Aamir for getting married to a Hindu girl for the third time. However, Aamir has not reacted to any of those till now as he is busy celebrating his wedding with Gauri.
Aamir Khan’s ex-wife attended his wedding with Gauri Spratt
On the morning of July 5, 2026, Aamir Khan got married to his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, in an intimate wedding ceremony held at his residence. The ceremony was attended by the couple’s close friends and family. However, what has been grabbing attention is that Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, Reena Dutta also attended the ceremony, as per a report by ABP Live. However, Kiran Rao was missing.
It is worth mentioning that Aamir Khan’s children from his previous marriages were present for his big day. Along with them, some other celebrities who attended his wedding celebration were Ashutosh Gowariker, Irfan Pathan, Raj Thackeray, members of the Ambani family and more. It is worth mentioning that neither Aamir Khan nor Gauri Spratt has shared official photos from the ceremony.

For those unaware, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have known each other since the past 25 years. However, they lost touch. Years later, they reconnected again and became good friends and slowly fell in love. During an appearance on Raj Shamani's podcast, Aamir Khan once explained:
"Gauri and I met by mistake and we connected and we became friends, and love happened. Before I met Gauri, I felt like I had aged, and who will I find at this age. Also, my therapy started, and I understood that I need to love myself first and make myself healthy. So, I worked on that."
In 2025, during his 60th birthday, the Lagaan actor introduced Gauri Spratt as his girlfriend to the world. Since then, they have made multiple public appearances. Gauri also appeared at the premiere of Sitare Zameen Par. For their wedding day, Aamir Khan opted for an ivory kurta-pyjama, whereas Gauri looked charming in a beige-hued saree. As per a video going viral on Instagram, while taking her vows, Gauri said:
"I, Gauri Spratt, take Aamir Khan, my protector, my shelter, as my lawful husband."
A while ago, Aamir Khan made his first appearance after getting married for the third time. He greeted the reporters with a namaste after seeing off Raj Thackeray. However, it is worth mentioning that Gauri Spratt was a part of it. Their appearance as a couple is yet to happen.
