Happiness had knocked on the door in Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza's life when she had embraced motherhood for the first time with the birth of her baby boy. On May 14, 2021, Dia Mirza and her businessman husband, Vaibhav Rekhi, became parents to their little bundle of joy and have been cherishing this new phase of parenthood. However, Dia had always kept her son away from the limelight and did not show his face to millions of her fans.
It was to announce the arrival of her baby boy, that Dia Mirza had taken to her IG handle to post a cutesy picture of his little fingers. Sharing the pictures, Dia had revealed his name and how his birth was a miracle because he had arrived much before the due date. She had written, ''"To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, "To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav and my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU."

On September 17, 2021, Dia Mirza took to her Instagram handle to reveal the face of her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. Finally, keeping up to the expectations of all her fans, who were waiting for all this time to see her son, Dia took all of them by surprise as she shared the picture of her prince. The monochrome picture featured little Avyaan sleeping in his mom's arms. Atop the picture, Dia wrote, ''Our story has only just begun Avyaan 15.09.2021.''
On August 22, 2021, Avyaan had celebrated his first-ever Raksha Bandhan with his elder sister, Samaira Rekhi. For the uninitiated, Samaira is Dia's husband, Vaibhav's daughter from his first marriage with Sunaina Rekhi. Taking to her IG handle, Dia Mirza had shared a series of pictures from her son, Avyaan's first Rakhi celebrations. The family of four had twinned in yellow outfits.

Dia Mirza, her husband, Vaibhav, her stepdaughter, Samaira had worn yellow outfits, while Avyaan's outfit had a twist as he had donned a white outfit with yellow prints. Samaira's little brother had worn a Rakhi with 'A' initial, and Samaira had worn a Rakhi with 'S' initial in Hindi. Sharing the pictures, Dia had written, "Our first Raksha Bandhan We will love and protect EACH OTHER" and "Mera peela parivaar Happy Rakhi Everyone!!!"
It was on her honeymoon to the Maldives with her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi and her step-daughter, Samaira Rekhi, when Dia had announced her pregnancy by flaunting her baby bump in a floral kaftan. Taking to her IG handle, Dia Mirza had written, ''Blessed to be... One with Mother Earth... One with the Life Force that is the beginning of everything... Of all stories. Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope. Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb. #SunsetKeDiVaNe.''
