It's been over two weeks since Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar released in theatres on December 5, 2025. During this time, the film has seen a number of mixed-to-positive reviews not only from moviegoers but also from renowned names in the film industry. One such celeb who reviewed the movie is none other than the War 2 fame, Hrithik Roshan. Following his review, Danish Pandor, who plays the role of 'Uzair Baloch' in Dhurandhar, reacted to Hrithik's remarks in a recent interview.
For those unversed, Hrithik Roshan recently shared his opinion on Dhurandhar after watching the film. Although his review was mostly positive, his one critique was that the political undertones that the film showcased were not something he agreed with personally. Hrithik's review comes after several celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Shraddha Kapoor showed their support for the Ranveer Singh starrer. Apart from Ranveer, the film, directed by Aditya Dhar, stars several renowned actors like Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Danish Pandor.

Amongst all of them, it is Danish who took note of Hrithik's remarks on Dhurandhar. During an interview with IndiaTV, the actor claimed that one cannot deny the facts that the movie is truly based on. Also, according to him, such reactions may vary from person to person. He made sure to emphasise that the film was built on extensive research rather than provocation. He said:
“This is very subjective. There are some things that you would prefer and I wouldn’t, and vice versa. As far as the political aspect goes, these are all research-backed elements. Even if you take into consideration the 26/11 attack, you can’t deny that it happened. The voice notes of the handlers and terrorists were played on screen; it literally gives you goosebumps and, at the same time, disheartens you as a person…what exactly have they done.”

Danish went on about how Dhurandhar's portrayal of 26/11 evokes an emotional response in viewers from the moment they see it. This is because the film not only recreates the events themselves, but also the emotional helplessness that surrounds them. He stated:
“There were so many hostages inside. When everything was happening through the media perspective, we couldn’t realise what those people were going through.”

If you have already watched the film, you might be aware that during the pivotal scene, Dhurandhar played the terrorists’ voices involved in the 26/11 attack on the screen. This, Danish notes, becomes a turning point for most viewers. He said:

“Just that voice note, which has been portrayed on screen, makes you empathise immediately. You start wondering, what if you were there at that point of time? Empathising is very important."
Danish further added that after he watched Ranveer Singh's ‘Hazma’, an Indian spy operating within Karachi, realise the truth behind the 26/11 attacks, he immediately rushed to give Ranveer a tight hug. This was because he was thoroughly impressed by how smoothly Ranveer emotionally transitioned throughout the scene. Something about Ranveer's eyes in the scene conveyed a silent devastation, a feeling that they “could have saved it, could have avoided the attack.”
