The sad news related to Suneil Anand's demise was shared by his nephew, Gina Narang.

According to social media reports, Dev Anand's son, Suneil, took his last breath at the same hospital where his father passed away. Dev Anand had gone to London for a medical check-up when he had met with a cardiac arrest on December 3, 2011. He passed away in his hotel room and was pronounced dead when taken to the hospital.
Suneil Anand's family reportedly announced his demise. It was Dev Anand's granddaughter, Gina Narang, who revealed that the family is undergoing a tough time. Her statement spoke about the family undergoing a tough time with the demise of Suneil Anand, and it read:
"With heavy hearts, our family mourns the passing of Suneil Anand. We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, for which we are truly grateful. We kindly request privacy as we navigate this difficult time together."

Suneil Anand was the son of the legendary Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik. He was born into one of the most iconic and celebrated film families. Suneil had made his acting debut with the movie named Anand Aur Anand, which was directed by his father. The film had tanked at the box office, and as per reports, Dev Anand's son had not got much work as a star post his first film launch.
Earlier, Suneil Anand, on the 100th birth anniversary of his father, Dev Anand, revealed that it feels to him as if his father is always around him. He revealed that he feels his father is still with them and has been a source of inspiration for millions of youth the world over even now. Suneil had stated that his father continues to live as the evergreen romantic star.
Dev Anand's son Suneil always wanted to dedicate the movies that he produced and directed to his father. Suniel always wanted to continue taking forward his dad's legacy. Suniel once, in an interview with SCREEN, had stated that his dad was an honest man and understood his duty towards his fans. In his words:
"He was also a well-read man, well-informed. He could converse on any topic with anyone in any crowd. He was as at ease with the man on the street as he was with royalty. He was very humble. It is difficult to be humble when you are such a big star.”
Suneil had shared that his father Dev Anand was the best of both worlds. He had also shared how his dad was always conscious of his looks and physical appearance in real life and in movies, in front of the camera and while he was moving around in public. That’s an actor’s responsibility towards his audience, and he understood that.
Suneil Anand's demise has marked the end of another beautiful chapter in Dev Anand's family's cinematic legacy. Information related to Suneil Anand's last rites is awaited. Suneil was proud to be the son of Dev Anand and had shared how his dad created his evergreen romantic hero look. In his words:
"I was a witness to all of that. He was a very stylish man. He was forever creating, developing and working on his looks and that contributed a lot to his evergreen romantic hero image. He set many trends where people were imitating him, copying him all over the world, and they still do."
