Denise Richards 'Never Wanted To Lose' Patrick Muldoon, Ex-Husband Forced Her To End Contact

Patrick Muldoon's passing has left the world shocking. The famous actor known for his diversified work died due to a sudden heart attack at the age of 57. His death has left many in shock, but it seems like it is the people associated with Patrick who cannot process it. One of the most important relationships Patrick shared was with Denise Richards.

For the unversed, Patrick Muldoon's most talked-about relationship was with Denise Richards. They were the most loved couple of the '90s, and had met each other in 1997 while shooting for Starship Troopers. However, they parted ways in 2000, but remained close friends. But their closeness affected Denise's relationship with her then-husband, Charlie Sheen. Denise Richards, in an episode of her show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, said that her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, was jealous of her friendship with Patrick Muldoon. Denise shared that she shared a beautiful friendship with Patrick Muldoon and her romantic relationship had ended years ago. 

Denise revealed that her beautiful friendship with Patrick had to be on a pause when she was with Charlie Sheen for four years. She added that she had not spoken to Patrick when she was married to Charlie. Denise further added that it was extremely hard for her as she didn't want to lose him as a friend. However, when their marriage was near ending, she kept talking to Patrick about Charlie. She was quoted as saying:

"I did not speak to Pat when I was married to Charlie, and it was hard because I didn’t want to lose him as a friend friend. But, towards the end of the marriage, I talked to him all the time about him."

Talking about their bond, Patrick also had mutual admiration for Denise. She was the only person he wanted to star as his love interest when he was about to launch his rock video. However, Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen's elder daughter, Sami Sheen, believed that Patrick was still in love with her mother after so many years. Sami talked about watching her mother shoot some of the steamy scenes for the video, and she thought that Patrick kept flirting with her. This revelation had left many in shock. She even talked about Denise's husband, Aaron and stated how he was fine with Patrick getting close to Denise. She was quoted as saying:

"He’s very flirty with her, I’m not gonna lie. I don’t want to get him in trouble, but I feel like he might still have feelings for my mom. How is he fine with it? They have like 30 years of history."

However, Patrick, after months, broke his silence on his bond with Denise. He stated that he was 21, and she was 19 when they met in acting class for their series. Since they had not come from an entertainment background, they bonded on a lot of things and kept a check on each other over the years.
