Denise Richards' Daughters Praised Her Ex, Patrick Muldoon A Year Before His Death, 'He's Like A...'

Denise Richards and her daughters, Sami Sheen and Lola Sheen, went to DECIDER’s studio in March 2025 to promote the reality show, Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. During the interaction, Denise’s daughters, Lola and Sami, revealed that they loved their mom’s ex, Patrick Muldoon, as one of her famous friends.

To this, Sami said, “Patrick is my favourite”, and Lola added, “I was gonna say, Pat. I love Pat so much.” Sami then continued to heap praises on Patrick and shared:

“He’s like a 15-year-old boy who never grew up but did at the same time in the best way possible. He’s really funny. And I’ve said that to him.”

Denise, on the other hand, shared that Patrick was one of her best friends since she was a teenager. She also stated that he was close to their family and her husband. Denise further mentioned that her daughters don’t look at her famous friends as famous and treat them as their mom’s friends.

Patrick Muldoon's most talked-about relationship was with Denise Richards. Patrick and Denise first met in an acting class when she was 19, and he was in his early twenties. They bonded well and became each other’s support system. Their families, too, got to know each other over the years. They soon began dating, and their chemistry in Starship Troopers was loved by the audience.

While they split in 2000, Richards and Muldoon stayed close friends. They even referred to each other as “schweet babe” even after their breakup. Denise and Patrick put their friendship on hold while she was married to Charlie Sheen. According to the actor’s manager, Patrick died after suffering a severe heart attack in his Beverly Hills residence. His manager formally confirmed the tragedy to media outlets, ending speculation about the cause.

Patrick’s sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that her brother went to take a shower after having a cup of coffee on April 19, 2026, but when his girlfriend went to check on him, she found him unconscious on the bathroom floor. While paramedics attempted to revive him, there was ultimately nothing they could do.

As soon as the news of Patrick’s death surfaced, his fans were heartbroken, but it was Denise Richards who was shattered. A source close to the actress revealed that she is inconsolable and couldn’t fathom the news. As per the source:
