Entering the list of newbie parents, Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein fame, Deeya Chopra Mehta and her London-based husband, Ritchie Mehta had embraced parenthood for the second time a few days back. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, national and international flights were cancelled a few days back and Ritchie had reached Delhi to his family right on time. Sharing a family picture, Deeya had written, “My JIT husband - (just in time)! What a scary few days weve had as a family... travel is taken for granted these days but we have so much to be grateful for if everyone you love is fairly close by! Coronavirus is definitely resetting the world and our thinking... may be time we all look inwards at what really matters. Also FYI, taking a family picture with a toddler is a real art- we are clearly yet to master it.”
On April 14, 2020, Deeya Chopra Mehta gave the first-ever glimpse of her baby girl, Sophia Mehta. Eight days after the birth of Sophia, Deeya posted a picture of ‘her whole world in her hands’ as she held her baby’s tiny feet with her hands in a heart-shaped frame. It was four days after her little angel was born, Deeya Chopra Mehta had announced the arrival of her baby girl on her Instagram account. A day before Deeya Chopra Mehta and Ritchie Mehta’s baby girl, Sophia Mehta arrived in this world, the little one’s big brother, Evaan Mehta had turned 1. To announce her second pregnancy, Deeya Chopra Mehta had posted a collage of four pictures, which had the childhood photos of her and her husband tagged as ‘baby daddy’ and ‘baby mummy’. Deeya Chopra Mehta and Ritchie Mehta’s wedding was a four-day long celebration which was attended by the couple’s close friends and family members. Deeya had met the love of her life, Ritchie through a common friend and the two hit-it-off instantly. Soon they realised that they are truly made for each other and had tied the knot in 2016 in a traditional Punjabi wedding. For the wedding, Deeya had looked stunning in a baby pink and gold embellished lehenga and matching maang teeka, earrings and kaleerein, while Ritchie had looked every bit of a suave Maharaja in a dull white sherwani and a matching safa.
