2017 has started with a bang with the happy news showering from everywhere. Many B-town and telly celebs are either getting hitched or becoming parents! Here is another happy news of a famous actress expecting her first child!

We are talking about popular TV actress Deepika Singh of Diya Aur Baati Hum fame. Yesterday (January 17) only Deepika confirmed her pregnancy. After announcing her pregnancy, she talked in length about her pregnancy with a famous entertainment website. Take a look!
The mommy-to-be is in a happy space right now. After her previous show, Diya Aur Baati Hum wrapped up, the actress was on a break. Is she planning to continue with her break? Here is what she said:
“Well, I am on a break now. And I don't want to make myself tired by working in a daily soap until mid-next year at least. However, I don't mind doing a bit of work here and there until then. I believe that an artiste always needs producers and TV channels. Without them, would we thrive?”
For how long is she planning to be off camera? Deepika said:
“Actually, I badly wanted a break after Diya Aur Baati Hum. But I was getting too many offers. I was in a dilemma. I prayed to God 'mujhe rasta dikhao ki mein producers aur channels ko hurt nahin karun if and when they come up to me with their project'. Bhagwan ne meri sun li.”
So was the baby an unplanned surprise? Deepika said:
“No, it's a planned baby. Yeh toh hamare haath mein hota hai na? Go for it if you want one, else don't.”

Her mother has come down to look after her expecting daughter and her in-laws are also taking care of her. The delivery of the baby will happen in Mumbai only.
Deepika is in her first trimester, but doesn’t want to disclose her due date as their family is very superstitious about such a thing. So, the parents-to-be want a girl or a boy? Pat comes the reply:
“That we are not even thinking. And neither shall we. We decided to have a baby and we thank God that it is happening.”
Well said Deepika! On being asked about the baby shopping, Deepika said:
“Not yet. We don't shop until the baby is born.”
So is the mommy-to-be shopping for herself? She shared:
“Yes. I have lots of time now. My weight is increasing. I need a new wardrobe, my clothes are getting tight. And I am loving' every moment of my pregnancy.”
