For Ranveer, it was love at first sight when he had met the dazzling diva at Zee Cine Awards in Macau. The actor had clearly stated that he still cannot forget what she was wearing on that day. For Deepika, it started when they signed their first film together Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram - Leela, wherein, Ranveer wooed her with his charming skills.
Ever since the two are inseparable and giving millennials goals of a true relationship with their social media PDA. On July 6, 2019, Ranveer celebrated his 34th birthday, and as a customary ritual of the social media generation, Deepika took to her Instagram and shared an adorable post for the man of her life. She posted a childhood picture of Ranveer, and captioned it as, 'Sensitive and emotional, caring and compassionate, generous and gentle, funny and intelligent, delightful and faithful...all this and so much more. Coming back to their love story, after Deepika and Ranveer took the plunge, they have been openly talking about their love. In an interview with the GQ magazine, Deepika had shared, "I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person – and he’s everything rolled into one man. He’s my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be." Deepika, who we know as an epitome of grace, is an exact opposite of Ranveer. However, this is what makes them a perfect couple. In the same interview, she had talked about Ranveer and how he is as a person. She had said, "He is vulnerable, extremely emotional, very intelligent; childlike at times. That's not to say that his irrepressible energy isn't him, it's very him. He's a real people's person, but there's a quiet side to him too."
In another interview with Pinkvilla, Deepika had shared how Ranveer made her believe in love. She had stated, "Over a period of time because it's the small things that he did and the little things that he said which made me believe and feel more and more that he's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The foundation of our relationship is just solid friendship and for any successful relationship, that's very essential. It started off on that note right from the beginning and over the years that we have dated, it only became stronger and stronger.
