People and crazy fans of Deepika and Ranveer were overjoyed when they got the confirmation on their wedding. Many speculations and rumours did the rounds regarding the lovebirds' wedding. And when in October, the duo confirmed that it's actually happening, each and every fan of theirs went bizarre.
Deepika and Ranveer walked down the aisle on November 14 in a Konkani wedding style and on November 15 in a Punjabi-Sindhi style. Today, on November 21, the newly-weds are hosting a grand wedding reception at The Leela Palace in Bangalore for their families. And on November 28, the couple is expected to host another wedding in Mumbai at the Grand Hyatt. The official statement by Deepika and Ranveer could be read as, "With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Reportedly, the reason why The Leela was opted for Bangalore reception is revealed by a source that stated, "The biggest reason why Deepika chose to have the reception at the Leela, Bangalore was renowned Italian restaurant of New York, Le Cirque which goes by the name Le Cirque Signature. DP loves the restaurant in NYC and their franchise in Bengaluru drew Deepika to The Leela. Her mother has also gone food tasting 2-3 times. The food will be pre-dominantly South Indian though. As per reports, Deepika and Ranveer will shift to a Rs 50 crore worth apartment. A media report suggests, "Ranveer and Deepika were looking for their perfect home since quite a while and the moment they saw this property, they knew they wanted it. It’s a huge bungalow which costs Rs 50 crore approximately. They wanted the interiors more personalised so the work in that house is still on. Until then, the duo will be residing in Singh’s current residence, Shree."
Talking about being protective about Ranveer, Deepika once stated, "I am very protective about Ranveer. When the world gushes on him, I am honest with my feedback of him." Praising about his performance on-screen, Deepika remarked, "The first time I watched him onscreen since we never had any scenes together. I cannot think of any actor who would have done this role and brought in the kind of intensity he did with Khilji. It was an author backed part but he made Khilji his own. He gave justice to the menacing part of Khilji. Audiences had to hate him to love his work. Actors are usually scared of doing negative roles for the fear of being typecast".
