Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have been one such couple whose both love and breakup stories have always garnered a special spot in the headlines. While both of them have moved on in their lives and are happily settled in marriage with their respective spouses, they were once hailed for shedding ex-couple goals post breakup with their visible good camaraderie with one another.
Deepika and Ranbir chose to remain best buddies with one another by burying their past post their breakup. And this was not only reflected in their off-screen banters, but also in the fact that they worked together in films, forgetting and forgiving their past. For instance, back in 2015, Ranbir and Deepika had celebrated Diwali together during the promotions of their film, Tamasha directed by Imtiaz Ali. Interestingly, according to a report by DNA, the ex-flames enjoyed their time together while making rangolis and decorating diyas. Moreover, they even participated in a quick interview session where Ranbir was asked about his marriage plans. Before he could respond, Deepika had quipped in with a fast answer and said:
“Ranbir can’t get married without my permission."

Well, such good vibes were not one sided as Ranbir too did not leave behind from shedding BFF goals with his ex-girlfriend, Deepika Padukone. During the same interview, Ranbir gave a very special remark about her and mentioned how she is like a comfort to him, and makes him feel at home. In his words:
“Deepika is my comfort. She is my dal chaawal. When I'm with her I feel like I've come back home.”
Well, after breaking up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika not only maintained cordial relationships with the actor, but also with his parents, late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. For instance, way back in 2018, post the release of Deepika’s blockbuster film, Padmaavat, Rishi and Neetu had sent her a bouquet of flowers along with a special note to congratulate on her success and express their happiness on watching her powerful performance. The note could be read as:
“Excellent work!!! So very proud of you. Love Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.”

Deepika Padukone moved on in her life and is currently enjoying her marital bliss with her hubby and actor, Ranveer Singh. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot in a private ceremony in Lake Como, Italy on November 14, 2018. While their fans to date are overjoyed to see every moment of them together, it was once Deepika’s ex-beau, Ranbir Kapoor who made a happy remark about the couple. Well, back in 2016, Ranbir had graced the chat show, Koffee With Karan along with Deepika’s husband, Ranveer Singh. While the duo seemed to be perfectly natural with one another, it was Ranbir’s wish for the then-newly wed couple that amazed everyone. He mentioned:
“They are in ways perfect to each others energies and I’m really happy for them. And I hope they can see this through and really make some awesome babies together. And I hope that their babies like me and I’m their favourite actor.”
