A while ago, reports have been rife that Alia Bhatt replaced Deepika Padukone in a YRF film since the latter will soon be on maternity leave. However, amid the ongoing buzz, a video of Alia from a Forbes event in Abu Dhabi, surfaced online, wherein she called Deepika and others her inspiration. In the video, Alia looked the prettiest as she slipped into an olive-hued strapless corset top featuring a transparent effect at the waist portion. The diva teamed her dress with black pants. A small touch of sheen makeup, middle-parted open hair, a stylish bangle, and a pair of dangling earrings added stars to her look.

As the video began, the interviewers asked Alia Bhatt about working in Hollywood. Replying to the same, Alia Bhatt mentioned that Indian actresses like Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra have worked on that field and set an inspiration for her. The actress mentioned that all these actresses are her friends, and she admires them for paving the way and making it normal for Indian actresses to show their skills in Hollywood. Alia said:
"Actresses from the Indian film industry have done that and are huge sources of inspiration to me. Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika, these are actors who are friends of mine but whom I also admire deeply. I have to give them a lot of credit because they paved the way in a sense. You know, made it a normal thing.”
As soon as the video went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their opinions. While some remained stunned by Alia's subtle yet classy look for the day, others called the actress humble. Some users even noticed how Alia is doing better and not making her facial expressions, for which she faced a lot of backlash before. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt reportedly showed interest in doing the film. However, such reports about Alia didn't go well with the netizens, and they started slamming the actress.
