Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh etched history back in 2025 and 2026 with his blockbuster hit movies, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The films have been directed by Aditya Dhar, and Ranveer not only impressed his fans with his breathtaking performances but also took the box office by storm. Now, Ranveer's father-in-law, Prakash Padukone, gave an honest review of both of Ranveer's movies, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Deepika Padukone's father and ace badminton legend, Prakash Padukone opened up about his bond with his son-in-law, Ranveer Singh. Prakash revealed watching Dhurandhar and reviewing it. In an interview with the Indian Express, Prakash called Ranveer's Dhurandhar a 'great movie'. However, he revealed of feeling that the movie had violence and said:

"It's a great film. It’s a very well-made film with good acting by everybody. We felt there was a little bit too much violence, but the majority of people liked it, so I think that’s more important."

Prakash Padukone had recently watched Dhurandhar and could not help but appreciate the work of his son-in-law, Ranveer. Prakash spoke about the film's craftsmanship and how it was loved by the audience. He did agree that Ranveer's fans loved it despite the movie being filled with intense violence.

Prakash Padukone, further in the interview, apart from talking about movies, also revealed about his bond with Ranveer Singh. He revealed that both families share a very close bond and always make it a point to spend quality time whenever possible. Prakash Padukone shared that they try to go on a holiday whenever possible. They try to travel once a year, due to their busy schedules.

Prakash Padukone emphasised that both families spend time on vacations, and their conversations usually focus on each other's professions. Prakash feels that Ranveer understands the movie industry better, while the actor is very curious about sports and always seeks insights into it. In his words:

"There are a lot of common interests, as he’s very interested in sports. He keeps talking to me about sports, and I keep asking him about movies as I want to learn about the business. We don’t get so much time, as they are all busy, but whatever time we get, we like to sit together and enjoy whether it’s football or cricket."

Prakash further had also shared a light-hearted detail related to Ranveer and spoke about his football preferences. Prakash revealed that Ranveer is an Arsenal fan, while his daughter, Anisha, supports Manchester United. The family often has a fun and competitive spirit in all their discussions. Well, Prakash Padukone will soon become a maternal grandfather for the second time. This is because Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their second baby soon. The couple are already parents to baby Dua.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh, after the success of Dhurandhar, reportedly is working on the zombie thriller called Pralay. It has been directed by Jai Mehta, who is the son of filmmaker, Hansal Mehta. The movie reportedly has been made on a budget of Rs. 300 crore.
