Finally, one of the much awaited and the most talked about weddings of the year 2018 is going to take place tomorrow. The mention is of course none other than the one and the only stunning couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Fans are crying happy tears, a few might be planning to gatecrash the wedding, others have hooked on to their cell phones to get the first-ever glimpse of their real-life wedding looks and whatnot. November 14 and 15 marks the union of two of the most beautiful souls and we can’t keep calm at all, right guys?
Releasing a joint statement, DeepVeer (as their fans fondly call them) announced this happy news of their wedding. The statement could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. The lovebirds are all set to tie the knot at Lake Como in Northern Italy. The pre-wedding functions have already begun and the guests are gushing over the mister and missus-to-be. Amongst the excited peeps was Ranveer Singh's stylist Nitasha Gaurav, who cannot keep calm. She took to her social media and wrote, “No pictures but it was love personified to see them together today. Couldn’t stop my tears, but these were tears of happiness and so I hope they never do. #DeepVeerKiShaadi #ranveerkishaadi #foreverlove". Now, this has given us a heads up that the wedding fun has already begun.
Not just this, one of the famous and super-talented singers, Harshdeep Kaur too dropped various hints of attending the grand event of Deepika and Ranveer's wedding. She took to her official Instagram handle and shared an in-flight snap along with a cryptic caption that read, “Off to a very special place for an even more special occasion. Arrivederci.” A picture of her fellow musicians namely, Sanjoy Das, Bobby Pathak and Firoz Khan has also gone viral on the internet as the team is speculated to perform at Deepveer's sangeet and mehendi ceremony today, on November 13. Before the pictures and videos from their pre-wedding ceremonies and wedding start pouring in, we have for you a look at their Mumbai wedding reception invitation card. Well, for the ones who don’t know, Deepika and Ranveer will be hosting two receptions, one on November 21, 2018, in Bangalore for their families, and the other one on November 28, 2018, in Mumbai for their industry friends. Until now, the dates were tentative and were only spread from here and there. But now, we have the right and exact date for DeepVeer’s Mumbai reception and it is the one mentioned above. Many rumours had been doing the rounds regarding the dates of their Mumbai reception. One of such report had earlier claimed, “The two will host a reception at Grand Hyatt on December 1. As their wedding is an intimate affair, the reception will be a grand one where they will invite their Bollywood friends.” Now that we have the invite with us, the date is clear! For the ones who have been living under the rocks all this while, Deepika and Ranveer will be tying the knot in Sindhi as well as Konkan customs. On this note, a source close to the couple had stated, “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding”.
Also, if the reports are to be believed, Ranveer will shift to Deepika’s Prabhadevi apartments after becoming mister and missus to each other. According to a DNA report, “Zeroing down on such an apartment isn’t an easy task and this will take some time. They don’t want to rush into choosing the property. They want to do it up completely before they move in”. The source further stated, “It’s a wise and practical decision by the duo because Deepika stays alone in Prabhadevi. In an interview earlier, Deepika has shared how her equation with Ranveer is. She was then quoted as saying, “He is my best friend (and this is not to be taken lightly). I am emotional, sensitive and vulnerable and I hurt easily. I can be so naked in front of Ranveer and I know he will never hurt me or take me for granted. That is the kind of trust and understanding we have. The reason I love and respect him is that I can bare my soul and still feel comfortable. If this is divine connection - this is what it is!"
