And while we fall hard for her looks and gracious personality, not many know she is a self-confessed foodie! In a throwback interview with the Hindustan Times, she had stated, “Food makes me happy. Make me work round the clock, but just feed me first!” And above all, she is a rice-lover, who just cannot stay away from rice. To further prove this point, Rajeev Masand has once pointed out that Deepika nearly finished off all the Eid ki biryani sent by the director, Farhan Khan of her debut movie.
Guess what? Deepika and her inseparable bond with food started off as a child, and her recent picture on Instagram is proof of it. On April 10, 2019, Deepika took to her Instagram handle and shared a childhood picture of her. In the picture, we can see baby Deepee fully devoted in her love for food, and she captioned the picture as, “Forever hungry...& nothing’s changed!” To which her husband, Ranveer Singh instantly replied, “I can vouch for that! Deepika values family above all, and in an interview with DNA, she had talked about the importance of home, and had shared, “Home. You know, that feeling of being in your house? I am very comfortable and happy here. Of course, this is home and there is a sense of achievement. You know in a city like this to have your own home, one needs to work really hard but home is Bangalore. That’s where I know that 'Okay, I am home. However, Deepika has found another home in the arms of her love, Ranveer Singh. In a post-marriage interview with GQ magazine, she had stated, “Ranveer is vulnerable, extremely emotional, very intelligent; childlike at times. That's not to say that his irrepressible energy isn't him, it's very him. He's a real people's person, but there's a quiet side to him too. Emotionally, I think I'm the more intuitive one. I'd say IQ is more him. But at the same time, he's not all like, 'I'm a man, I can't show my emotions.' He is sensitive, and so am I, and it makes it easier to share a life with someone who understands that.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Deepika had also opened up about the relationship she shares with Ranveer. She had said, “Over a period of time because it's the small things that he did and the little things that he said which made me believe and feel more and more that he's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The foundation of our relationship is just solid friendship and for any successful relationship, that's very essential. It started off on that note right from the beginning and over the years that we have dated, it only became stronger and stronger.
