After letting tongues wagging via their commendable silver screen performances in Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer and Deepika have given a major reason for their fans to rejoice by taking their relationship a step ahead. After dating each other for 6 long years, DeepVeer is finally tying the knot within 14 days.
While the wedding preparations are going on in full swing, Deepika was clicked at the airport lately. Everyone started speculating if she was joining Ranveer for a short earlymoon. But guess, Deepika is currently in Bangalore for the Nandi puja. Yes, the festivities have already started, and the new beginning has embarked with a lovely puja at Deepika’s hometown Bangalore. Two pictures of Deepika have gone viral on the internet from the puja, where she can be seen wearing lovely orange-coloured suit paired with big danglers. Deepika’s core team, stylist Shaleena Nathani and hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou shared the glimpses from the puja. While Gabriel captioned the following picture as, “Honoured today to witness this #Pooja - The beginning of a new chapter @deepikapadukone #bangalore #makeup @sandhyashekar #stylist @shaleenanathani #celebrityhairstylist #hairstylist #hair #gabrielgeorgiou #deepikapadukone”. For the latecomers, Deepika and Ranveer posted a joint statement on their marriage when they shared this happy news with their fans and well-wishers. On October 21, 2018, the couple’s joint statement was released which could be read as, "With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding isset to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018.” Further thanking their fans, the couple wrote, “We thank you for all the love that you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness.”
Deepika and Ranveer will tie the knot in two separate ceremonies, one will be as per South Indian rituals and the other will be as per Sindhi customs. Afterwards, the couple will be hosting two receptions in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Though in the announcement the venue and destination are not revealed, as per sources, the wedding will take place in Lake Como, Italy. A Filmfare report stated, “Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalised Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place”.
