Debby Ryan Is Married To Five-Year-Older Grammy-Winning Drummer, Josh Dun, Delivers Her First Child

Debby Ryan and Josh Dun have entered the best phase of their life with the arrival of their first child. The two announced their pregnancy in September 2025 with their fans in a joint Instagram post. While fans are celebrating the birth of their baby, many don’t know about their amazing journey together. The two have been going strong since 2013, and now, all set to embrace the best chapter of their life — parenthood.

Who is Debby Ryan’s Grammy-winning husband, Josh Dun?

Debby Ryan’s husband, Josh Dun, grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Josh made a huge name for himself as the drummer of the band, Twenty One Pilots. The band saw a lot of fresh faces, but currently it is led by Josh Dun and the lead vocalist, Tyler Joseph. In a 2012 interview with WOUB, the duo revealed that their collaboration started after Josh filled in for a drummer during a show, and he was introduced by the band's previous drummer. It was the same amount of passion and love for music, they stuck together and made the band a hit. In 2017, Josh Dun got his recognition by receiving his first Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Stressed Out.

How did Debby Ryan meet her husband, Josh Dun?

Debby Ryan met the man of her dreams, Josh Dun, through a mutual friend. They have grown up together over the years. In a  2018 Instagram post, Debby shared details of their first date and love story. She wrote:

"hbd, boy. thanks for learning how to tie a bowtie for our first date and everything we’ve figured out together since. You were only 24 here, before I dyed your hair and you taught me love."

Debby and Josh made their relationship official in September 2013, when Josh shared their first photo together. Initially, they faced their hiccups with an on-and-off relationship. However, it was in December 2018 when the drummer got down on one knee and popped the marriage question to Debby. He popped the question in a New Zealand tree house, which made the proposal whimsical.

On New Year's Eve in 2019, Debby and Josh got married in an intimate wedding ceremony in Austin, Texas. However, after five months of marriage, they confirmed their wedding in May 2019. Debby and Josh revealed that they planned their wedding in just 28 days. Josh revealed that it felt like it was a game night and it was the ultimate game, which he won. He shared that he still remembers when Debby walked down the aisle towards him, and he felt the body-chills.

For the unversed, Debby and Josh lives in a dreamy treehouse home in Columbus, Ohio where the latter grew up. It was Debby's idea to live in Josh's hometown after they went for a trip there to visit his family. Debby once revealed her decision to live in Ohio. She said:

"People often say, 'What’s in Ohio?' But we’re so inspired by this place. Building this home, inviting people into it…the whole process has created a new sense of us."

Debby Ryan was born on May 13 1993, while Josh Dun was born on September 18,1988. The couple have a five year age gap as Josh is 37 years old while Debby is 32. In short, Josh is five years older Debby.

Debby Ryan and Josh Dun got blessed with their baby girl on December 14, 2025. The two named their daughter, Felix Winter. Debby revealed she got blessed with a daughter, and thanks to her husband, he is taking care of the two perfectly. A part of her note can be read as:

“He was an incredible teammate, and somehow didn’t get pulled into the tub and drowned and is taking such good care of his girls on this side of things. I was fortified by an incredible birth team, and the strength and wisdom of some women who have supported me on this journey near and far. Her hair is made of silk and her breath smells like vanilla ice cream and every chirp, squeak and whimper is music and everytime I look away and look back, she’s gotten smaller somehow. I know too soon, I’ll look away and look back and she’ll be bigger and bigger still so for now I’d like to spend my days trapped under the immovable 8 pounds of Felix Winter Dun."
