Debbie Clark's family members revealed she died at her home after a medical emergency. Soon after feeling unwell, her son, Crayton, came to help her. In fact, he used to live in the same apartment to take care of his mother.
Crayton recalled that suddenly his mother, Debbie, fell to the floor and collapsed due to her ongoing health issues. Therefore, he immediately called for emergency services and waited for paramedics to arrive at the scene. However, they were unable to revive her despite their best efforts. The loss of a mother has hit her son, Crayton, hard because he witnessed his mother pass away in his arms.
After her demise, he shared his grief with the public and expressed his gratitude for their support. Although they have not confirmed any official cause of death, Crayton believes that his mother's death was linked to her ongoing serious heart complications. He also revealed that she was struggling with health issues for some time and kept it private. Some family members also said that she had a pacemaker and recently overworked herself despite her health concerns.
Meanwhile, Crayton believes that his mother's pacemaker might have stopped working, leading to the medical emergency. The revelation came as a shock to Debbie's fans, since she had been away from public life for a long time. Even her close ones were unaware of the extent of her health struggles. In his words:
"She carried me through life and is still with me in spirit, but the day she passed, I knew I had to grow as a person. Since all I've known is my life with her, I'm starting over. When she was alive, she made everything easy for me; however, she was struggling with heart problems, which she hid from everyone, as she still wanted people to see her as a warrior, as 'Storm." After her death, Crayton has started a GoFundMe campaign to pay for his mother' s funeral.
Along with the fundraiser, Crayton had mentioned that his mother was quietly battling heart issues and looked after the people she loved. However, she did not leave him any major financial resources, which has made it difficult for him to pay the funeral expenses. Meanwhile, the reports about her financial issues have often made news in the past, especially after the mother-son duo faced homelessness.

Before becoming popular, Debbie Clark made a name for herself as a multi-sport athlete. She used to compete in basketball, soccer, and track and field. These athletic abilities caught the attention of American Gladiators' producers, who decided to cast her in 1991 for the show. She was impressive from the first go, and became famous on the show.
However, the show abruptly ended in 1993, and she faced a serious ACL injury during its live tour. It ended her professional career and forced her to start a new life. Eventually, she faced many challenges later in life, but she was committed to helping others. She worked with a personal trainer, mentored young athletes, and devoted herself to raising her son.
