Soon after David Beckham received a star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the former football player had a conversation with Variety. During the same, when he was asked to comment on the family rift with his eldest son, Brooklyn and how difficult it is for the entire family, David cut the question in between and refused to say anything and described it as a personal family matter. David Beckham was quoted as saying:
"To be honest, I'm sorry to stop you there, but that's a private matter. That's the one thing that I don't want to talk about."

Recently, after receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, David Beckham appeared to get slightly emotional as he expressed gratitude for the honour and recalled his journey from a young boy to a star. He said, "I must admit that this is all rather surreal. I’ve experienced some amazing moments in my career, but to be here in Los Angeles receiving a star on the world-famous Walk of Fame is truly incredible."

Further, he gave a special mention to his wife and four children. It is worth mentioning that David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn missed the ceremony. He concluded his emotional speech by expressing his wish to tell his story to his grandchildren. A part of his speech was:
"I want to thank my incredible family, my parents and my sisters, who always supported my dreams. Victoria, my amazing wife of almost 30 years, without whom none of this would be possible or enjoyable, and my beautiful children, who are the reason that I get out of bed in the morning. I will bring my grandchildren here one day and tell them about a boy who dreamed big."

The controversy began in January 2026, when Brooklyn Beckham shared a six-page note, accusing his parents for always controlling him and claimed that his mother, Victoria tried her best to ruin Brooklyn’s wedding with Nicole. Later, David opened up about it and explained that children make mistakes and they are allowed to make mistakes because that is how they learn. "We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."
Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham, was born in March 1999, and over the years, he has built a strong image through photography and business. In 2017, he published a photography book by the name What I See. In recent years, he has been grabbing attention for cooking. In his personal life, in 2020, Brooklyn got engaged to actress, Nicole Peltz. And two years later, in 2022, they tied the knot.
