However, the group’s instrumental approach was not loved by Dash and Jim, following which they established another group, The Chimes, with Dave Burgess, a member of The Champs. While the group released a few successful projects, they started earning some money, with payments of somewhere between USD 500 and USD 600 every week. However, the band broke up when Jim decided to maintain a distance from the spotlight, leading to an argument.

Their fifth album, Diamond Girl, also received a similar response. Their third most successful album was Greatest Hits, released in 1975.
