Last year, in March 2023, Dalljiet Kaur married for the second time to Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel. The couple's wedding made us believe in 'second time'. However, it seems like the couple had hit a rough patch within a year of their first marriage anniversary. For the unversed, Dalljiet Kaur's separation buzz started after the actress deleted all her wedding pictures and YouTube vlogs with her husband and dropped the name 'Patel' from her IG handle. While her team refused to talk about the divorce, there were reports that claimed Dalljiet and Nikhil were incompatible, and the situation worsened in the last two months. On February 11, 2024, Dalljiet took to her IG handle, and reposted a video story by a media outlet and slammed them. She wrote:
"I never spoke to you @sbsapnews. Please do not misquote me."

After the murmurs of Dlljiet and Nikhil landed in the media's ears, the actress' spokesperson issued an official statement on behalf of the actress and addressed the ongoing murmurs of her separation within a year of her marriage. According to ETimes, Dalljiet and her son, Jaydon are in India for the actress' dad's surgery. Her mother is also not well, and she will also undergo surgery. The statement also revealed that Dalljiet doesn't want to give any comment on the divorce murmurs as kids are involved. She has even requested the media to respect her children's privacy.
For the unversed, Dalljiet shifted to Kenya after getting married to Nikhil in a grand wedding ceremony, followed by a grand reception. The actress' official statement by her team can be read as:
"I hereby state that Dalljiet and Jaydon (her son) are in India currently for Dalljiet’s dad's surgery followed by her Maa's surgery as well, which required them to be beside him. In addition to this, I would only like to say that Dalljiet, at the moment, would not like to make any comments on anything because the kids are in the picture. Please respect her kids' privacy and please consider this as the only statement she would like to give out."
According to a report by ETimes, Dalljiet and Nikhil were not happy for a long time. The report states that the estranged couple started facing trouble soon after their marriage and they realised that they were 'incompatible'. The insider told the news outlet that if they failed to sort out their differences, separation would be the only option.
The insider further claimed that the situation between them worsened in the last two months. The source was quoted as saying:
"Initially, everything seemed fine in their marriage, but it was short-lived. Problems cropped up between the couple soon after. Dalljiet and Nikhil realised they were incompatible. The situation worsened in the last two months. If problems persist, separation might be the only option."
However, it is worth mentioning that Dalljiet soon deleted the IG story.
