After 11 years of marital bliss, Chris and Gwyneth had called off their marriage and were granted divorce in 2016. According to E! News, Chris and Dakota have reportedly moved in together in a modern cape cod-styled home in Malibu. According to a source, Chris had brought the property worth USD 12.5 million and Dakota is living there with him. Talking about the property, it is a 5, 338 square foot house with six bedroom and nine bathrooms. Split in two floors, it also has a game room, guest room, living room, swimming pool and a fireplace in the backyard. It is also reported that the property is near Chris’ other properties.
Chris and Dakota had made their first public appearance together in October 2017, at the famous Sushi Park in Los Angeles. According to a source close to People, both Dakota and Chris were laughing, being cosy and affectionate with each other. After two months, in December 2017, a reliable source had reported US Weekly that Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's dating is much more than just a fling now. The source was quoted as saying, "Dakota and Chris are definitely dating. They've gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable from one another. It's more than just a fling." In June 2019, there were rumours of their breakup because both Chris and Dakota were hardly seen together. The Sun had then quoted, "There was talk of engagement, but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone."
