Dak Prescott Makes Rare Comment On Split From Sarah Jane Ramos Amid Weight Loss, Says 'Stress May..'

After a few months of his high-profile split with Sarah Jane Ramos, Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott made a rare public remark. He recently left fans and media concerned over his visible weight loss. He admitted that it was linked to his stress, prompting questions about whether he was hinting at his breakup. Incidentally, the comment comes as Dak Prescott continues to deal with life after his wedding to Sarah Jane Ramos. 

Dak Prescott joked about his weight loss after breakup 

Dak Prescott sat down for a media session on June 9, 2026. During the chat, he was asked about his physical condition ahead of the Dallas Cowboys minicamp. Some reporters noticed that the quarterback looked thinner than when he last played. In his response, Dak smiled and joked that stress might have played a role in his losing a few pounds. In his words:

"Stress may help lose a little weight here and there."

However, when a reporter tried to connect the remark to his breakup with Sarah Jane Ramos, Dak quickly ended the conversation. He laughed off the suggestion and replied that he was only joking before shifting any speculations about his personal life. It was one of the rare moments when Dak publicly admitted anything related to his split since his breakup with Sarah Jane Ramos. Meanwhile, despite ending their engagement, Dak and Sarah appeared committed to raising their daughters together. The former couple share two children, Margaret Jane "MJ" and Aurora. 

Previously, in April 2026, the couple reportedly reached a temporary custody agreement. It was made to help them co-parent effectively. According to statements released by the couple's legal representatives, both Dak and Sarah are now focused on providing a stable, supportive environment for their kids. Dak's attorney described the agreement as a positive step forward. Whereas Sarah's legal team stated that she was pleased that the former couple could make their decisions together without lengthy court battles. In fact, recently the couple reunited to celebrate their daughter Aurora's first birthday.

What caused Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos' split? 

Earlier this year, Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos shocked fans when they announced they were ending their relationship. The decision came just before their planned wedding in Italy. According to reports, the tensions increased during the couple's joint bachelor and bachelorette trip to the Bahamas. Later, several media outlets claimed that Sarah allegedly found some inappropriate messages exchanged between Dak and some women connected to his past.

At the same time, some reports alleged that secret social media accounts and some ongoing communication with former flings led to the end of their relationship. However, neither Dak nor Sarah have publicly discussed the details of the allegations. Soon after the breakup became public, some rumours also claimed that the duo had financial disagreements and that prenup arrangements caused the split. But Sarah's representatives denied those claims, stating that money was not the reason behind their decision to separate.
