Paparazzi never leaves Salman Khan alone. Media and fans are always excited to know about Sallu bhai’s wedding plans. The 50-year old superstar’s bachelorhood has become a great matter of concern for everyone.
There were rumours that Salman Khan is dating Romanian beauty, Lulia Vantur and is planning to get married soon. There were also rumours a few days back that the two are already secretly engaged. And, then there were media reports claiming that Salim Khan is insisting Salman to get married by the end of 2016 and that too with Lulia.

Putting all these rumours to rest, here is what daddy cool, Salim Khan, had to say about his star son Salman’s wedding.

On being asked if he is pressurising Salman to get married by the end of 2016, he coolly replied:
“It’s Salman's choice – whenever he wants to marry or not marry. I have never influenced my children, neither have I approved their choice. This is a family that never insults anybody, leave aside giving them orders. It’s a big responsibility – kal ko shaadi mein gadbad ho jaaye toh aake mujhe bolenge ki aap hi ne kaha tha shaadi karne (laughs)."
Now that Salim is so chilled out about his son’s wedding, the next obvious question was that doesn’t he want to see Salman become a groom? Here is what he said:
"Nahi, nahi, aisa kuch nahi. He will marry when he wants to marry. You know today’s kids – they will marry according to their choice. Now, when I go for walks, people come to me and say, “Kara do abhi Salman ki shaadi.” And I say, "Abhi toh thodi der ho gayi, koi milegi nahin."

When asked if there is any truth in these rumours that he wants his son to marry Lulia Vantur, he gave an apt reply:
“Nahin, maine kisise bhi nahi kaha ki shaadi kar lo. Salman will marry who he wants to. Arbaaz married a girl of his own choice, Sohail married a girl of his choice, I married twice out of my own choice. So he will also do that. Jisse karna chahega, karega. It’s his choice. I leave it up to him.”
He further added:
“It’s not just me. Parents should not insist on who their kids should marry. You raise them, you educate them so that they grow up and think for themselves and plan for themselves. And when they are grown up and think for themselves and bring a girl of their choice, then you can’t say no to that and you can’t impose your decision on them. Because then you’re contradicting all that you raised him to be. I shall accept his choice."
So has he ever asked Salman jokingly to marry? Here comes a quick reply:
"No, kabhi mazaak mein bhi nahi. When any of the kids came to me and said they want to marry, I said okay. If I had said no, would they have not married? (Laughs)."
