The soccer star reportedly tied the knot in a civil ceremony on August 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal. It was a “private and intimate moment” attended by all five of their children.
A while ago, Ronaldo sent fans into a frenzy by sharing a photo of the pair’s hands featuring their wedding bands. The photo has now brought renewed attention to Georgina’s engagement ring, which she can also be seen wearing in the background.

For those unaware, Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to his now-wife, Georgina Rodriguez, in August 2025. This was 9 years after they crossed paths for the first time in a Gucci store in Madrid. While revealing their engagement, the model had posted a photo of the massive diamond ring on her Instagram.
A couple of weeks later, she gave fans a closer look at the piece when she paired the over-30-plus carat ring with additional diamond jewellery that was over 80 carats at the Venice Film Festival. For those curious, most experts usually agree that the diamond on Georgina’s ring is somewhere around 30 carats.
As per Tobias Korimind, who served as the managing director of 77 Diamonds in London, the oval-shaped stone that draws everyone's eyes was approximately 35 carats. Meanwhile, another expert called Kegan Fisher, who is the co-founder of Frank Darling, revealed that it is “definitely over 15 carats, and more likely in the 20-25 carat range.” She claimed that it was hard to pinpoint the exact size of the centre stone without knowing Georgina’s finger size.
During a conversation with Vogue Arabia, Gafla Creative Director Abdulla BelJafla told the publication that the main diamond on Georgina's ring “appears to have exceptional light dispersion.” This means that there was no visible ‘bow tie effect’, which is commonly found in oval diamonds. Notably, the massive diamond is flanked by two oval side stones that are estimated to be 1 carat each. This would bring the ring’s total carat round up to 37 carats, as per the outlet.
While the three-stone design can also be found in the rings of celebrities like Meghan Markle, Heidi Klum, and Serena Williams, having three oval-cut stones on one ring is “quite rare.” Kegan Fisher explained:
“Three rounds or three emerald cuts are far more common. But this one works beautifully with a center stone of that scale, lending the whole piece a vintage-inspired appeal.”
During a December 2025 interview, Georgina Rodriguez claimed that she found the ring Cristiano Ronaldo gave her “gorgeous.” She also joked about how “it's the least Ronaldo could offer me after 10 years of waiting.” She added:
“The truth is, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind. It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day.”
