Although Courtney and the runner-up of Season 16, Ben Flajnik, got engaged in the finale, the duo separated at the end of the year.

Courtney Robertson and Humberto Preciado’s relationship started a year before their marriage
Courtney Robertson and Humberto Preciado’s love story reportedly started in April 2019 when the latter liked the model’s pictures on her Instagram profile. Courtney immediately got in touch with him, and they started having conversations. A few days after chatting with each other, Courtney and Humberto went on their first date.
Courtney once said in an interview that she was about to give up on dating when she first met Humberto. She also stated:
“When I met Humberto, it was a no-brainer. I know this is meant to be.”
In December 2019, Courtney Robertson and Humberto Preciado got engaged and were also expecting their first child. Courtney told Us Weekly that there was a comfort and connection with Humberto that she had never felt in the past. The pair had a son named Joaquin in June 2020. Four months later, the couple tied the knot in Arizona in October 2020.
Courtney and Humberto were expecting their second child in July 2021 and welcomed a daughter named Paloma in November 2021. The duo was expecting their third child in November 2023, and Courtney confirmed the news on Instagram. They had a son named Gabriel in April 2024. Recalling her experience with her first pregnancy, Courtney said in an interview:
“I had to mask both times and we weren’t able to have family members come to the hospital. I didn’t really have a proper baby shower and not that I will this time, but it’s just going to be such a different experience having a baby without a pandemic going on.”

As mentioned, Courtney Robertson has confirmed in a statement with PEOPLE that she and Humberto Preciado are getting divorced. She said that her children remain her highest priority, adding that it has been one of the hardest seasons of her life.
Courtney said that she found something that has damaged the trust in her marriage to Humberto, which is why she has decided to file for divorce. Courtney said that this was not something that she wanted for her family and continued:
“I believe choosing peace and a healthy, stable environment for my children is the right path forward. I remain committed to co-parenting with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter, especially for the sake of our children. I’m grateful for the love and support I’ve received and am taking things one day at a time.”
For the unversed, Humberto Preciado currently serves as an attorney at The Husband & Wife Law Team. He has also been a real estate agent for companies like LAUNCH and HomeSmart. Humberto obtained an associate’s degree from Phoenix College. He later enrolled at the University of San Diego and New York Law School.
