Couple Friendly, the superhit Telugu romantic drama, is gearing up for its digital premiere. For the unversed, the film was theatrically released on February 14, 2026. Directed by Ashwin Chandraseka, the romantic emotional drama stars Santosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi. Santosh is the male lead and plays the role of 'Shiva', and Manasa is the female lead and plays the role of 'Mithra'. The film focuses on the aspects of live-in relationships and more.

According to the latest reports, the Telugu romantic emotional drama is scheduled to release on March 13, 2026, on Amazon Prime. In addition to the original Telugu version, Couple Friendly will also be available in the Tamil language.

What to expect in the film, Couple Friendly?

The story revolves around two youngsters, 'Shiva' and 'Mithra', who meet in Chennai and start living together due to circumstances. 'Shiva' hails from Nellore and is an interior design graduate. While 'Mithra' is a native of Chittoor and aspires for an IT job. The duo crosses paths in Chennai, and eventually they fall in love. When love blossomed, 'Shiva' and 'Mithra' decided to live in the same house and have a live-in relationship.

With 'Mithra's' support, things change for 'Shiva' career-wise, while she still struggles with her IT career. Staying under the same roof brought numerous issues that created conflicts. However, the final twist awaits the duo that will test their relationship. Speaking to the media, lead actor, Santosh Sobhan shared that he was instantly drawn to the script for the movie as he found honesty and emotional relatability in it. According to him, Couple Friendly is all about presenting relationships in a simple yet sincere manner.

Critic review on Couple Friendly

A movie critic took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote a detailed review of the film, Couple Friendly. Discussing the first half and second half, he wrote, "The first half feels very youthful and energetic, with several scenes that Gen-Z audiences will particularly enjoy. In the second half, the director shifts focus toward family emotions, and that’s where the film connects more deeply. Amid the heavy emotional moments, #YogiBabu’s comedy works as a good relief."

The critic lauded the lead actors’ performances. He mentioned that a small twist in the second half made the climax look more emotionally intense. On the surface, the story may feel routine, but the emotional moments help the audience connect. #SantoshShobhan looks very good on screen and delivers the emotions effectively. However, my personal favourite is #ManasaVaranasi, she expresses emotions beautifully in several scenes."

Another movie critic penned, "#CoupleFriendly A sincere and honest attempt in this genre. The story feels fresh, and the treatment is simple yet engaging. Music and visuals add a heartfelt touch to the film. There’s a pleasant Malayalam flavour throughout the narration. Both lead actors @santoshsoban & @varanasi_manasa delivered neat performances, and the comedy & emotions worked well. A good weekend watch 3/5."
