Collin Gosselin Slams Mom Kate's 'Heinous' Allegations He Harmed His Family And Killed Animals

Collin’s memoir featured several allegations of abuse against his mother as he opened up about his “dark” and “violent” childhood.
Recently, Kate made allegations of her own against Collin, claiming that he has a history of violent behavior. She also accused him of killing animals. Now, Collin is clapping back at her.
Collin Gosselin responds to his mom’s allegations about his violent behavior
On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Collin clapped back at his mom, Kate Gosselin’s “heinous” allegations through his rep, Adriane Schwartz. In a statement to Page Six, Adriane confirmed that Collin has never shown violent behavior in which he used a weapon to harm a family member. She also clarified that he has never harmed any animal in his life. Calling all the allegations that Kate made against Collin false, she added:
“Let us be absolutely clear: Collin has never used a weapon to harm a family member, nor has he ever harmed or killed an animal in his lifetime. These allegations are categorically false… To publicly accuse your innocent child of such heinous acts to protect your reputation is beyond reprehensible.”
She claimed that Collin has already shown extraordinary courage in telling his story. He will not be intimidated or silenced by the damaging accusations that Kate has levied against him.
It was after the release of Collin's memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, that Kate Gosselin, 51, made some shocking claims about her 22-year-old son. On TikTok, Kate claimed that she wanted to remind everyone that irrespective of Collin’s current psychological evaluation, it cannot erase his history of violent behavior. She said:
“[It] does not erase his history of violent behavior with weapons towards people, the killing of animals, his regular use of racial slurs, and his ‘physical behavior,’ let's call it, against female staff while in the facility, just to name a few.”
While responding to a fan in the comments section, Kate Gosselin doubled down on her allegations against Collin. She claimed that he killed animals “for fun” and assaulted his siblings “with a weapon.” She also did not shy away from responding to questions about whether she visited Collin Gosselin while he was allegedly in treatment. The Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum shared:
“I visited EVERY single time the facility felt he was stable enough for a visit. Sometimes a visit was planned, but the facility canceled it because he was too unstable and it would have to be rescheduled.”
According to Kate, her son is “cherry-picking” which details he wants to share with the public about his upbringing. For instance, she claimed that Collin is only releasing segments of his medical records “that make me look bad while also withholding all his horrific and dangerous behaviors.” Kate explained that while Collin is trying to make it look like she had mistreated him as a kid, in reality all she ever did was try to keep him, his siblings, herself, and their pets safe.
