During an interview with People, Coco Jones talked about how serious a commitment marriage truly is. She claimed that since she always thought of her life as business, when it came to her own marriage, she took a moment to think about how it would be the “biggest contract” that she would have to sign. And even though she often sings about forever, once she tied the knot with Donovan Mitchell, it really would be just that. She said:
"I think about my life so much like business, and I'm like, 'Girl, you got to stop. This is the biggest contract I've ever signed.' You know what I'm saying? This is a real-life, forever commitment. I talk about forever, I sing about forever, and then I'm like, 'Oh, this really is forever. Okay, word up, word up.'"
Coco Jones claimed that she had a mix of emotions after her engagement to Mitchell. Reflecting on the same, she said, "It's exciting, it's intimidating, and it's just powerful." To Coco, her relationship with the NBA star is “a blessing.” For those unaware, the duo had dated privately for about two years before they shocked fans by announcing their engagement in July 2025. Gushing about Coco, Mitchell said in a press conference:
"Man, that's my dog. I love her to death. She's amazing. She's an amazing human being. She brings me peace. She's a special human. And you see it in her work, and to be able to call her my fiancée, my wife, is a blessing. So, I'm grateful."
While Coco and Mitchell work in opposite fields, the former admitted that it is their work ethic and commitment to their craft that has made their relationship last for so long. According to her, it is a blessing to have someone who gives a lot to their career so that they can understand how she feels. In her words:
"We both go really hard for the things we love, and they're demanding careers. I feel like we speak a different language that makes me really feel seen. And he's my biggest cheerleader, so I feel like I'm never able to doubt myself in his presence. It's just not going down like that."

According to reports, Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell tied the knot on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The couple said their vows in front of all their closest friends and family. For her big day, the R&B singer looked stunning in a gown with a flowing veil; on the other hand, Donovan looked sharp in a cream-colored tuxedo.
In the videos from the wedding, Coco and Mitchell could be seen all smiles as they celebrated with their guests and danced the night away. Among their guests were NBA stars Jaylen Brown and Bam Adebayo. The power couple, Ciara and Russell Wilson, were also in attendance.
