Taylor Swift’s surprise engagement in August 2025 came as the happiest news for her fans. Since then, her engagement ring has become the centre of all the attention. Talking about the vintage ring, the rectangular shaped piece is a brilliant-cut old mine diamond, rounded at the corners, which was bezel-set in 18k yellow gold. The gold band has tiny diamonds and special hand-carved designs on it.
As per Angelic Diamonds’ Neil Dutta, the ring is approximately 7 and 10 carats and is flanked by "half-moon plus ... small round". Reports suggested that the ring was not designed by a major brand but by an independent business, Artifex Fine Jewellery, and it was Kindred Lubeck who designed this ring, which was said to be inspired by 18th-century references. While the exact price of the ring is not confirmed, but jewellery experts said that the ring can cost 3.5 to 5 million dollars.
As per many jewellery experts, Tylor’s ring was an ode to the Victorian era as it features delicate, and decorative gold work atop it. Celebrity jeweller George Khalife, aka George the Jeweller, mentioned that he believes the diamond is around 20 carats. As per Khalife:
“The ring seems to come with some serious history! Old Mine diamonds are rare and hard to come by. It means the diamond is naturally occurring and hand-cut, using techniques that we rarely see anymore! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly."
