Ciara and Future had a whirlwind romance, and they got engaged within a year of dating. The following year, in May 2014, the R&B singer and the rapper welcomed their first child together, son, Future Zahir Wilburn. However, the new parents faced a rough patch shortly after as he was accused of infidelity. Future was reported to have cheated on his then-fiancée, Ciara with his stylist just three months after Future Zahir's birth.
According to Us Weekly, a source close to Ciara and Future told them that accusations of him cheating on her weren't a one-off thing. Amid the messy situation, Ciara called off the wedding and ended her relationship with Future. Right after the split, media outlets approached Ciara for comments on Future's cheating allegations and their split. However, the songstress, who was going through a lot at that time, sought privacy.
A source told E! News that Ciara was "very embarrassed" of the scrutiny around her split from Future and his cheating allegations. According to the insider, Ciara didn't want to interact with anyone at that time and even detached herself from her friends.
The source further stated that it was unlikely she would break her silence regarding the rumors surrounding her broken engagement, as she was "humiliated and angry" about Future's infidelity row. In the source's words:
"She's [Ciara is] very embarrassed and keeping to herself right now...She's usually so outgoing, but most of her friends haven't heard from her since the news broke. She's definitely not talking about it. Who could blame her? It's a hard time for her. She's humiliated and angry."
Ciara might have chosen not to comment on the matter; however, her ex-fiancé, Future, did react with a cryptic comment. The rapper hit back at his cheating buzz by posting a photo of himself on Instagram and captioning it, "I Dnt respond to rumors I respond to money." As for the reason for their split, neither party shared what exactly led to the decision.

About two years after her split from Future, Ciara and former NFL star Russell Wilson tied the knot in 2016. They welcomed three children together- Sienna, Win, and Amora.
