Following this, in 2002, she was replaced by Giovonnie Samuels. Christy's passing came as heartbreaking news to her followers and former co-stars, who have since been sharing tributes to the actress. Christy's aunt recently confirmed the news of her passing. While the cause of death was not revealed by family members, TMZ recently shared some information about her death.
Christy Knowings' alleged cause of death revealed
The news of All That star, Christy Knowings' passing was first shared by TMZ, and following that, it was revealed that the actress passed away due to complications caused by an asthma attack, which she suffered on August 7, 2026. Family sources revealed to the publication that Christy's severe asthma attack left her with permanent brain damage, and she was placed on life support.
According to the same report, Christy's family decided to take her off life support on August 11, 2026, and she passed away in a Los Angeles-area hospital on the same day. Christy's aunt, Tyleah Joseph, confirmed in her Facebook post that her niece, a brilliant actress and comedian, had passed away. She didn't reveal anything about Christy's cause of death. No further details about her health issues or funeral arrangements are known as of now. Tyleah's statement could be read as:
"My brother Charles’ daughter Chrissy (Christy Knowings) has passed. … She was an outstanding actress, comedian, twin sister, an amazing daughter….Rest in power Chrissy.”
Following the confirmation of Christy Knowings' passing at 46, her co-stars posted emotional tributes on social media. Kenan Thompson revealed not being able to imagine what had just happened. Kenan called Christy one of the funniest and most real people while offering his condolences. On the other hand, Josh Server also shared an emotional note on social media.

Josh revealed that even though Christy joined the cast late, she never missed a beat and made everyone around her better. Josh called Christy one of the kindest people while speaking about the 'devastating' incident. Recalling his co-star, Josh, emotionally penned:
"Every time we performed she made every one around her better. She came in late in our run and never missed a beat. So sad for my whole Nick family. Sending love and prayers to her loved ones. Rest Easy."

Christy Knowings joined the cast of All That in 1997, and before that, she was a performer on another Nickelodeon sketch comedy show, And Now This. During her time on the show, she essayed several recurring characters such as 'Penny Lane', 'Lieutenant Fondue', and 'Jessica' from Whateverrr!!!. Apart from that, she also appeared as 'Yoko' and 'Brenda Stone', among others.
Following this, Christy made a brief cameo in the show's 10th-anniversary special. Alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings, Christy was seen in episodes of Sesame Street, an American educational television series. She later ventured into music and released a folk single, To The World, in 2020. Before the passing of Christy Knowings, another All That co-star, Kianna Underwood, passed away due to a fatal hit-and-run in January in Brooklyn.
