The COVID-19 outbreak is nothing less than the biggest nightmare of our lives. In recent months, we have seen a lot of celebrities being tested positive for COVID-19. While most of them had recovered well with time, some have lost their lives to this virus. Now, there are confirmed reports that legendary South Indian actor, Chiranjeevi Konidela has tested positive for COVID-19. On November 9, 2020, legendary actor, Chiranjeevi Konidela took to his Twitter handle and shared a piece of sad news for all his fans, family members, and industry-mates that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor shared a picture of his official statement in which he clearly mentioned that he is asymptomatic and is quarantining at home. In his statement, Chiranjeevi also requested all the people, who had met or came in contact with him in the last five days, to get checked for the Coronavirus as soon as possible. After Chiranjeevi's revelation, a lot of fans are worried about his wife, Surekha Konidela, son, Ram Charan, and daughter-in-law, Upasana Kamineni. For the uninitiated, Chiranjeevi's brother, Naga Babu had also tested positive for the virus back in September. The actor had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a picture in which he had revealed that he had tested COVID-19 positive. However, in the same picture, he had also promised his fans that he's going to be a plasma donor after his recovery. In his words, "An Infection doesn't always have to be a Suffering, You can always transform it into an opportunity to help the fellow Beings. Tested Covid-19 +ve. Will Scuffle & Strife through this and Will be a Plasma Donor. #covid warrior #plasmadonor."
On October 29, 2020, Naga Babu had shared a picture of him, donating plasma at a hospital, fulfilling his promise. In the photo, we could also see his brother, Chiranjeevi, who was there to motivate and support his brother in such a great cause. It was Naga Babu's little note in the caption along with the picture that had made everyone realise the power of brotherhood, and it could be read as "Feeling Both Ecstatic & Lucky to have My Brother @chiranjeevikonidela as My Philosopher...Proud to be a Little drop in his ocean of efforts towards Humanity & A better society."
