Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has not stopped since its first part's release on December 5, 2025. And now, after the release of his second part, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, fans are only talking about the details of the film. Apart from Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, it was Sanjay Dutt whose role was the most loved. Not only did Sanjay look exactly like the late Karachi police officer Chaudhary Aslam Khan in Dhurandhar, but he also did full justice to his role.
It is not just the audience who praised Sanjay Dutt’s effortless acting in Dhurandhar, but the late Karachi police officer Chaudhary Aslam Khan’s wife, Naureen, was impressed too. Speaking in a podcast with AajTak Radio, Naureen shared her reaction to Sanjay’s performance and highlighted a moment from it. Speaking about the same, she shared:
“When he stands near the car and raises his eyes, for a moment it felt like Aslam himself.”

Naureen heaped praise on Sanjay Dutt and said he was perfect for her late husband’s role. But she also voiced her reservations over some parts and shared that the character could have been explored in depth, and said:
“If they were making a film, they could have at least called me, the police, or journalists to understand both his positive and negative sides. He fulfilled tasks that the rest of the police never could.”

During her conversation with AajTak Radio, Chaudhary Aslam’s wife, Naureen, revealed her husband’s final moments and shared that she tried to stop her husband from going to the mission. Speaking of the same, Naureen said that when she saw her husband getting ready, she asked him not to leave because he didn’t have a bomb-proof vehicle. But Chaudhary didn’t listen to her and went anyway. When she got to know about the massive blast, she knew he was gone.

After the release of part 1 of Dhurandhar, people waited anxiously for the second part on March 19, 2026. From Aditya Dhar’s storytelling, the nuanced and well-planned characters, to bringing the nostalgic cult songs with the twist of a modern vibe, the film was everything that a movie buff ever wished. The blockbuster hit made history with the biggest pre-opening on March 18, 2026.
