For the unversed, after dating for a brief period, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen had tied the knot on June 7, 2019, in a registered marriage. It was followed by an intimate wedding in Goa. After two years of marital bliss, on November 1, 2021, Charu and Rajeev had welcomed their baby girl. Rajeev had shared glimpses of their newborn baby from the hospital.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Charu talked about the initial phase of her motherhood. She shared that the first month was full of anxiety as for 6-7 days she was not able to breastfeed her daughter. Charu revealed that because of the C-section delivery, there was no breast milk. She said:
"I started crying looking at her because she was very tiny. She was very small. As I gave birth to Ziana by C section, there was no immediate lactation. I couldn’t breastfeed her immediately as I was not getting the milk. I started stressing over it because I was not getting breast milk. People around me were telling me it’s fine, it will come in three-four days but in my case it took longer. There was no breast milk for 6-7 days. I was very stressed about it and on the other hand doctors would ask me not to stress."
Charu further added that she was having anxiety attacks every day and would keep thinking about why she wasn't able to feed her daughter. She further added that her family was super supportive and helped her in this journey.
Charu also talked about her relationship with her mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. She shared that her mother-in-law keeps motivating to get back in shape and pushes her for her workouts. She also heaped praises for her sister-in-law, Sushmita and how she had raised her two daughters single-handedly. She said:
"I share an amazing bond with my mother-in-law. In fact she keeps pushing me to workout. She tells me to go for a daily massage so that my arms are in the right shape. She keeps motivating me and she’s amazing. I’ve three amazing women in my life, my mother, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. I learn from them on a regular basis. I've learnt from my sister-in-law Sushmita didi how well she has raised her two daughters despite being alone. She makes me believe that a woman can do anything in life."
Charu also added that her husband, Rajeev has become more responsible. She shared he has changed as a father, and now he even changes their baby girl's nappies. She said:
"Rajeev and I both have become responsible in-fact, he has become so responsible. If I am busy with something, he on his own takes care of the baby. It is a relief when your partner is supportive and understanding. He even changes nappies and all. He takes interest and asks batao kaise karna hai…. He has changed as a father."
Well, Charu is an adorable mommy!
