Charu Asopa is one of the famous faces of the television industry. The actress often makes it to the headlines with her personal life. For the unversed, Charu was married to Rajeev Sen, and together they have an adorable baby girl, Ziana. However, the duo recently got divorced after a lot of blame games and accusations. Charu and Rajeev have decided to co-parent their child, and glimpses of the same can often be found in their social media posts. Now, the actress talked about her experience of being a single mother.
In an interview with ETimes, Charu talked about the hardship she has to endure as a single parent. The actress shared an anecdote and stated that Ziana was not having food two days ago, which made Charu shout at her daughter. The actress shared that Ziana was staring at her and started crying, which made the former feel so bad that she also started crying. Mentioning that sometimes things get difficult, Charu stated:
"Sometimes it is exhausting and frustrating but then you have to handle things. Two days ago, she was not having food and I shouted at her; she started staring at me and began to cry. I felt very bad. I also started crying and as a mother sometimes it gets difficult how to handle things. We both are learning with each other."

In the same interview, Charu added that she continues experimenting with her child's food and daily activities, which is how they grow up as a mother-daughter duo. She also added that all kids are raised differently. Similarly, all mothers' journeys are not the same. Further in the interview, Charu shared how it had been hard for her to go house haunting as a single mother. Talking about the same, she mentioned that when she was single, it was not hard to find a house, but with Ziana, it is quite hard to do the same.
Spilling the beans about the same, Charu said there were days when everything got finalised, but something would happen, and she would not get the house. Sharing the reason behind the same, Charu mentioned that she is a single mother and, more than that, an actress, so finding a home for rent wasn't easy. Charu stated:
"When I was single, I did not struggle much to find a house but with Ziana finding a house was difficult. Roz ghar dekhne jaana (Going house-hunting every day) with my daughter and then there were days when everything would get finalised but at the last minute something would happen and I would not get the house. I’m a single mother and top of that an actress so people don’t easily offer their house for rent.”
On June 8, 2023, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen got divorced. The latter announced the same by dropping a picture on his IG handle, where Rajeev could be seen hugging Charu from behind, the former penned an emotional note and announced his divorce from his ex-wife. Mentioning that there are no goodbyes, Rajeev wrote:
"There are no good byes! Just two people who just couldn’t hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remail mom and dad to our daughter.”

On June 18, 2023, Charu took to her IG handle and dropped a picture with Rajeev and Ziana, where the trio could be seen spending some quality time at a dinner date. Sharing the picture on her IG story, Charu wrote, "Happy father's day to my daughter's father" atop it.
