Charlie Puth Welcomes First Child With His Childhood Sweetheart, Brooke Sansone, Reveals The Name

The soulful voice behind the iconic song, We Don't Talk Anymore, Charlie Puth and his childhood sweetheart, Brooke Sansone are on cloud nine after welcoming a newly born baby. For those who do not know, the duo, announced their pregnancy in October 2025, through a music video. Well now, the singer and songwriter has revealed the name of their little one. Know its wholesome meaning.

Charlie Puth announces the name of his child

A while ago, on March 23, 2026, singer and songwriter, Charlie Puth took to his Instagram handle to share a joint post with his wife, Brooke Puth. The couple shared a series of cutesy photos of their baby boy. Along with it, the couple announced the name of their son and revealed his birth date. The caption of the post was, "Hey Jude 3.13.26". If reports are to be believed, the name Jude means ‘praised’. 

Talking about the carousel of photos, the first snap featured the little one into a white blanket. The bundle of happiness was wearing a blue and white striped outfit. Another snap featured the singer holding his baby boy in his arms. The third snap gave a close glimpse of Jude's nose and hand. The fourth photo was of Brooke's neck, in which she was seen wearing a necklace of the letter, 'J'. Further, the couple also shared a few polaroids, which included photos of the two holding their child in the hospital. 

When Charlie Puth opened up about the pregnancy

In October 2025, Charlie Puth shared the music video, Changes, which grabbed a lot of attention for its interesting lyrics and soulful voice. However, what made headlines is that Charlie’s wife, Brooke also made a small yet impactful appearance in the music video. During the cutesy appearance, Charlie and Brooke placed their hands on her stomach, which was an indirect announcement of their pregnancy. 

Later, the singer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, during which he confirmed the same. When he was asked about his music video, Charlie Puth revealed that he and his wife are expecting their first child. Further, the singer shared that he wants his child to love his music because he is only good at that. He was quoted as saying:

"I'm gonna be a dad. I was told not to reveal the gender. I hope baby likes music because it's the only thing I'm good at."

Charlie Puth and Brooke’s dreamy love story

For those who do not know, Charlie Puth has often made headlines for his personal life. Over the years, he has had his share of relationships, from a short-lived fling with Selena Gomez to a rumoured romance with Bella Thorne. However, do you know that he met his now-wife, Brooke in his childhood.

If reports are to be believed, the couple stayed friends for a long time. Despite rising to fame in their individual careers, the couple stayed connected and gradually fell in love. It is worth mentioning that Charlie and Brooke kept their relationship private for a long time, until some eagle-eyed fans noticed some chemistry. In September 2023, Charlie popped the question to his ladylove. Sharing the same on his Instagram handle, Charlie penned:

"I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes. I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever."

A year later, in September 2024, Charlie and Brooke tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, held at the singer's home in California. It is worth mentioning that the wedding ceremony was attended by only close friends and family. In February 2026, Charlie had a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, during which he opened up about his child. In his words:

"Something I never expected about the countdown [to fatherhood] is [that it will] be directly aligned with the album coming out. I think they’re a week apart. Baby arrives, and then, album arrives. I don’t know how you time something like that."
