Chahatt Khanna has been through many ups and downs in her personal life. She was earlier married to Bharat Narsinghani, and later had got married to Farhan Mirza. It feels that life has been hard on the actress, as she, unfortunately, separated from her husband, Farhan Mirza in 2018. The actress, who was reported to be in a relationship with singer, Mika Singh recently, is a single mother to her two daughters, Zohra and Amaira. Clearing the relationship rumours, Chahatt had earlier revealed that she was staying with Mika only for their single, ‘Quarantine Love’. Recently, in a conversation with Zoom, the actress has talked about her future plans and presented her desire to settle down again, and why she feels that the term ‘Single Mother’ is derogatory.
In the conversation with Zoom, Chahatt talked about how she feels the term ‘Single Mother’ is insulting and said, "It is a very insulting term, and I realised this much later. There is a term called Milf which these guys, doggers use for women who are elder to them, married, single parent, single mom, divorced and they think people like them are good to have fun with. This is a hard-hitting fact of our society which I just discovered a few days back and I was shattered when I came to know this. This is what happens when she steps out of her marriage."
Chahatt also spoke about her wish to settle down again and said, "Of course, I want to settle down again. I would say that family is my priority and I have done my bit of my work. I have achieved success a few times that I wanted. I am doing well in my life, touchwood." She added, "Right now, by God's grace, I have everything. After a while, I would like to settle down with a good life partner and not think about anyone or anybody."
Coming back to Chahatt Khanna’s personal life and ‘Single Mother’ tag, it was in July 2018 when Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame, Chahatt Khanna had posted a picture with her daughters and had used the hashtag ‘single mom’ in the caption. As the entire nation is under COVID-19 lockdown, every house is dealing with double struggles. On March 25, 2020, in an interview with The Times of India, when Chahatt Khanna was asked if she has any advice for the mothers to manage their kids in the quarantine, she had retorted, "Please keep them indoors. Give them household tasks to keep them busy, let them study and play from home and build their immune system."
Talking about the challenges that are put forth as a single mother, Chahatt Khanna had said, "It's very difficult to be in the house and there are two kids who want my attention 24 by 7. So, I can't even step out, I can't even do anything. Of course, being a single parent is more difficult because I don't have anyone to watch my back. So, what I am doing is - giving them the household tasks, specially my elder one. I give her credits and I give her the household tasks to complete. With all of this, I am also taking care of their immunity and giving them vitamin C. So, they don't fall sick.” (Don't Miss: Ram Kapoor Shares A Hilarious Video Stating How His Wife, Gautami Is Like When She Wants Love)
